~Lazuli's POV~

The blue light surrounding me disappears within a matter of minutes as my center of gravity once again returns to me. Once I'm safely landed I look around my surroundings which consist of nothing more than greenery; trees, bushes, grass, flowers and Earthy nature as far as the eye can see. I feel a small smile perk up on my lips as I take in the beautiful scenery around me, feeling content and happy. It's moment like these that make me think saving the Earth and turning my back on Homeworld and the Diamonds worth while. Even though I had the life many gems only dreamed of on Homeworld I gave up everything for My Diamond. I sprout a pair of bee like water wings from my back, I flap them a few times and with every flap I grow further from the ground.

I flap my wings a few more times until I'm hovering a few feet off of the ground. Usually a lapis lazuli's wings would come from where ever their gemstone is on their body but because I'm a royal lapis lazuli my advance hydrokinesis allows me to choose where I want my wings to come from, so I choose to sprout them from my back since that's the most convenient location. I fly around at a leisurely pace, peacefully taking in the beauty of Earth that surrounds me. I end up flying for about 10 minutes until a loud, bass booming roar that sounds like an angry wild, feral animal. 'What roar, it's too familiar. Please tell me it's not what I think it is!' I think with wide eyes feeling slightly panicked as I change directions and start to fly in the direction of the roar and soon I come upon the origins of the deafening screech.

The first thing I see when I arrive is a violet lizard like creature with a purple under tone withering and squirming in pain as it grips it's head. The creature spikes coming out of its neck that are all different shades of blue or purple. It has razor sharp teeth and four eyes that are completely dark blue in color. It has deep blue claws that are disconnected but still somehow attached to it's arms.

"Corrupted gem" I mutter to myself with wide eyes. I never expected to run into one of those things so soon! I knew I would probably have to face them eventually but not a few minutes after I stepped off the warp pad! 'Looks like I've got some poofing to do' I think as I summon a about 10 gallons of water from my gemstone. I slowly creep up to the corrupted gem with the summoned water hovering around me, once I'm within a few yard of the creature I jut out my arm and the water follows my motions. A sudden jet stream of water crashes harshly against the corrupted gem, knocking it off of it's feet. The corrupted gem roars in pain once again and jumps to it's feet, facing me. The moment the purple creature lays its eyes on me it doesn't hesitate to charge head first towards me like a senseless wild animal, which it is in a sense.

I quickly fly to the side, avoiding the corrupted gem's large claws. 'I don't have time to play around with this corrupted gem, I have to get going' I think seriously and manipulate the water to swirl around me before forcing it to crash into the gem again but this time I generate the pressure to be high enough to do a little more than simply knock this thing off it's feet. The force of my attack is so heavy the gem ends up flying into a tree! Before the corrupted creature gets a chance to get back up I summon more water from my gemstone and use my hydrokinesis to shape the water into a large snake like shape. I wrap the water snake around the disoriented corrupted gem and ball my hand into a fist. The water snake follows my silent command and squeezes the enemy gem without mercy. Within seconds the corrupted gem poofs, leaving nothing but a purple gemstone behind.
