Dalmer has been wandering the world for over 60 years, yet he hasn't aged a day past his early twenties. Half-human and half-Gem, he's always lived on the edges-never aging, never belonging, and always searching for something he can't quite name. When he moves to the quiet coastal town of Beach City, hoping to finally settle down, fate intervenes. While walking along the shore, he discovers a strange mirror half-buried in the sand. A cracked tear shaped blue Gem is embedded in its back, pulsing faintly with dormant power. The mirror whispers, reflects more than it shows, and seems... aware of him. What Dalmer doesn't know is that the mirror once imprisoned Lapis Lazuli-and its reawakening sends ripples through the magical forces still tied to Earth. The Crystal Gems take notice, especially Steven, who senses there's more to Dalmer than even Dalmer realizes. As the past stirs and buried memories begin to surface, Dalmer must face the truth about who he is, why he doesn't age, and why the mirror might be calling to him. Is he a mistake, a miracle... or something far more dangerous?

After the whole corrupted gem fiasco, and Steven deciding to leave Beach City, he finally came home to catch up on family and friends. When he did arrive, a group of newcomers arrived as well. One in particular, caught his eye, including the gem mother figures of his. Not only was she unique, she was a part gem! a hybrid like himself! now isn't this interesting. Well, unfortunately for him, what she brings is trouble, not that she intended it, some things cannot accept and understand things they have no knowledge about. ∆∆∆∆∆∆ As for y/n, she came to Beach City with her gang,, well more of cousins to know more about her gem side, her mom. After figuring out she wasn't the only hybrid she packed her bags and and went for it. Well also because people from the government are also looking for her and would do any means necessary to take her. her hometown didn't know she was,, unique and had abilities, far more complicated than science itself. What if the roles of the Crystal Gems and the Homeworld Gems were switched? This is a story in that perspective.. Peridot, Lapis and Jasper were gems that participated in Rose Quartz's rebellion against Homeworld, and Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl are solely from Homeworld and serve Blue Diamond (using her in this case because Sapphire (and Ruby kinda) seemed to be more related to Blue Diamond than Yellow). Steven is the same as he always was, and he lives with the gems he considers family in the temple on Beach City. This is a few adventures on the switched perspective. [Note that I am using the Mom Switch AU, this is 100% not my idea and its more of a fandom-shared AU, though credit wherever credit is due]
