"Your brother is in the hospital"

Aizawa walks into where they were training before Yamada had pulled him away because a situation came up involving three kids from his homeroom. He heaves a sigh not quite sure how Hotaru is going to react to the news considering her emotions have been going haywire lately. He gives a hint of a smile seeing the two interacting with one another as well as the fact that Hotaru is completely at ease. He isn't unaware of the way some of her classmates have been staring at her thinking she won't notice which means she's been tense since the Sports Festival.

"Hotaru, something has come up."

"It's has something to do with Izuku, doesn't it?"

"He's in the hospital after a run in with the Hero Killer along with Todoroki and Iida."

"I should have known. He was acting so off since the festival, but I didn't think he'd like my intervention. I'm not allowed to see Izuku, am I?"

"Actually, they can't bar you from entering the room. His injuries weren't life-threatening and you are family which is why Nezu is allowing us to go up there."

She looks up at that with furrowed brows before nodding and running to grab the hoodie she had discarded upon entering. She quickly fixes her hair knowing looking more presentable will garner her less looks at the moment. As she does she's unaware of the soft look that Hitoshi is giving her causing Aizawa to blink in realisation. She turns to them with a hint of a smile before taking a deep breath.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to. You know that right?"

"I'm okay. Ever since I lost my sight I've gained this sort of empathy ability and I knew Iida wasn't himself, but I didn't know what to say. His brother could have died, but he didn't which is a good thing. I don't think he would have liked hearing that though because Ingenium is unable to do hero work because of his injuries."

"That's why you've been jolting when someone reacts all of a sudden. Kid, you should have told us. It explains quite a bit about you as a person."

"What do you mean? How does this ability explain things?"

"Empaths reach breaking points and their emotions can end up heightened because of it. They also have the issue of possibly taking on other people's emotions. Nezu does want to see you before we take off though."

She nods before swiftly turning on her heel already heading to Nezu's office causing Aizawa to sigh. The two trail behind the energetic greenette despite the fact that they had just been training for a few hours. Most people would have been exhausted, but she's just as energetic as when she arrived that morning. She leaves the door open when she enters Nezu's office before sitting in front of him with a hint of a smile. However, she starts fiddling with her fingers as if worried he's going to find something out.

"How interesting, it seems your innate ability to sense people's emotions has heightened since the attack on the USJ. I wondered if this would happen, but I wasn't expecting you to keep it hidden from us."

"You know why I did. I was hoping it wouldn't get out of control, but that was a foolish thought."

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm going to have you spar against Mirio soon to see how you've improved. Go see your brother."

"Thank you Nezu."

"You two go ahead while I stay back to speak with Nezu."

Both of them nod before heading out the door and Aizawa waits a few seconds before betting their out of hearing range. Nezu smirks seeing the actions since he already knows what the two are trying to hide, but he can't blame them. Hotaru's class is acting different around her. Not to mention how protective Bakugo and Todoroki are of the young girl.

"Did you notice as well?"

"You mean that in such a short time their relationship has changed? That's why Hotaru was messing with her fingers earlier. They're keeping it quiet for their own good."

"Then we keep it between us because Hizashi has a big mouth and I don't need Bakugo or Todoroki finding out. They're insanely protective of her."

Hotaru nervously bounces her leg as they ride on the train to get to Hosu causing Hitoshi to pull her into his arms. She lets out a breath when he does and relaxes slightly, but a part of her is still worried about her brother. Not to mention, Todoroki got pulled in as well and got hurt as well which doesn't sit well with her.

"By the end of this semester Sensei is going to be so done with the class. I just hope that nothing worse happens before we hit summer break."

"Isn't there some kind of training for you guys during the summer?"

"Yeah, we have a training camp for a week at an undisclosed location. I'm hoping it will be a quiet affair since there seems to be something going on every time I turn around. Luckily, I'll have to participate in the Finals doing whatever we have to do."

They go silent as the train makes it to their stop and Hotaru puffs out her cheeks staring up at the hospital. Finally, she takes a deep breath trying to clear her thoughts before going to the room number Nezu gave her. She blinks she Hitoshi lets go of her hand before slamming the door open startling everyone in the room. Izuku squeaks seeing his sister standing there in her training gear while the heroes and police chief look offended. She walks into the room and even Iida cringes knowing she's going to lecture them.

"What the hell were the three of you thinking? I swear that every time someone is out of my sight they do something. Iida, I understand your need to avenge your brother but have I taught you nothing? Izuku, I don't even know what you were doing in Hosu but I swear to god you give me another heart attack and I'll kill you myself."

"Yes, nee-chan," He squeaks making his mentor look at the young girl.

"Shōto, you somehow went looking for my brother I bet. I don't need to explain to you how dangerous that was because you already know. I can't lose anyone else and this class is going to be the death of me." She says the last part with so much emotion that Shōto and Izuku immediately pull her into a hug.

"Well, I guess we don't have to ask who this is, do we?"

"My apologies, my name is Hotaru Midoriya and Izuku here is my twin brother. I go by the Hero name Firefly."

"Why would that be your hero name?" The officer asks causing her to give a wide grin.

"My best friend came up with it and it deals with my quirk. I'd show you, but the sprinklers would go off. I'll see you idiots when you come back to class."

She walks out and Shōto catches the smile she gives before someone grabs her hand just out of view. She heads off and the three are left so they can be checked over.
