A/N Woww, another update? Well, here's another request that had been sitting for a while in my drafts... hope you like it!

As you sat alone in your dorm, you felt the tears threatening to fall from your eyes. You bit the inside of your cheeks, trying to hold them in as you read over the same lines of the textbook again and again. 

You felt that each time you read over the lines, it simply wasn't being memorised. Your frustration was beginning to set in, as you grabbed your hair harshly rubbing it. 

You gave a frustrated cry, before slamming your head down on your table, face-first into your textbook. Your tears began rolling down, damping the white pages, but at this point, you didn't really care. 

The amount of stress weighing heavily on your shoulders recently was becoming unbearable. Your parents had been nagging you to break-up with your boyfriend, reasons being they wanted you to solely focus on your studies for your entrance exams. Every time they brought up this subject, you had repeatedly told them that you wouldn't, and you were perfectly fine handling both a relationship and studies. 

You had already pushed yourself to the limit; renting a dorm away from the comfort of your family, having two part-time jobs to support yourself, studying an honours subject and of course, maintaining your relationship with your boyfriend despite your against your parent's wishes. 

A sudden knock on your door interrupted your breakdown. 

"(y/n)? Are you in there?" a worried voice came through, "I thought I heard a whale dying... mind if I come in?" 

You gave a loud grunt, your face still glued to your book. You weren't really in the mood to chat about it, but since it was your boyfriend, it was better to let him in before his motherly side comes out. 

The door creaked open, allowing the grey-haired boy to enter and take a seat next to you. He simply stared at you, not saying a word as he assessed the situation. The room fell silent as neither of you spoke, only a few sniffles heard occasionally. 

"(y/n), let's take break okay?" he gently removed your head from your book, turning you to face him fully. 

"I-I can't Koushi..." you whispered, "my exam is tomorrow afternoon and I haven't finished memorising what I need to and there's the assignment that's also due in five days that I barely have any idea on how to start, let alone what to do about it -" you rambled on, growing increasingly anxious and panicked. 

"(y/n)!" Sugawara shouted, placing both hands on your shoulders stopping you from further rambling. 

You didn't realise you were crying in front of your boyfriend. As you quickly tried to wipe away the tears from your face, you felt yourself being pulled into a warm hug. 

Sugawara placed an arm around your back and a hand on your head, gently patting you. 

"Hey, it's okay," he whispered in your ear, "You can do this, we can do this," 

You felt yourself cry more in his arms, not realising you had missed the warmth and homeliness just being in his arms. You wrapped your arms tightly around his chest, not daring to let go. Both of you sat quietly in each other's arms for a while, before Sugawara pushed your body a little away from him, staring at your (eye-colour) eyes. 

"(y/n) don't feel that you're alone, you have a lot of people who really care about you and are more than willing to help you out," he began, "and just because it seems like the whole world seems to be going against you, doesn't mean it'll be this way forever,"

"Everyone goes through rough patches and perhaps this time it's yours. That doesn't mean you have to go through it alone. You've got me, your friends and even your family who can help you," 

"My family wouldn't want to," you interrupted. "They want me to break up with you," 

Sugawara's eyes widen in surprise. This was the first time he had heard of this. 

"They want me to focus on just my studies," you answered before Sugawara could even ask why. 

Sugawara gave a little sigh. 

"I can see where they're coming from but," he used a thumb to wipe away the stray tears from your eyes. 

"I'm not going to break up with you, especially not now," he smiled gently at you, bringing you into another warm hug.

"Thanks, Koushi," you mumbled in his chest. You looked up at him, giving him a small peck on his cheek before snuggling back into his arms. 

"I love you Koushi," 

"I love you too (y/n),"
