els POV-

I'm finally seeing mike ever since i moved. it's been six months since i've seen him. we couldn't see him on christmas because the snow storms were too bad, & we just haven't had time.

but now that it's spring break i can finally see him & i'm so happy. me & Will are spending spring break there.

i'm excited to see max too, i miss her so much.

me and will are currently on the way to hawkins. i wonder what's happened since i'm gone. maybe they made a new mall?

our new town sucks. i don't have any friends. but will & joyce have been good company.

"five minutes." joyce smiled, as my heart started racing. what if mike has a new girlfriend? what if he hates me for not seeing him?

we pulled into the driveway, as i took a deep breath, shaking a little. "it'll be okay." joyce smiled, as i nodded nervously.

i'm so nervous.

we got out of the car, as i sighed, walking slowly to the front door. will knocked happily, as i looked down at my shoes.

i heard shuffling, before the door opened, as i looked up, seeing Karen.

"el, will!" she hugged us both as we smiled, hugging her.

"where's mike?" will asked, making my heart race.

"he's in his room!" she smiled, leading us upstairs, as i nervously walked to his door.

Will knocked on the door, as i heard mike scream what, as i furrowed my eyebrows, as will walked in.

"mom i don't- Will!" mike ran up to him, giving him a big hug as i stayed in the corner, hoping he doesn't see me.

"where's"— he stopped what he was saying, & saw me standing in the corner, as he smiled, walking over to me and giving me a big hug.

i burst out into tears, hugging him tightly, as he sighed, burying his face in my shoulder, while Will and Karen stood there smiling.

"i missed you." he smiled, pulling away, as i smiled, blushing lightly.

"well, let's play d&d!" will smiled, running down the basement.

"i'm gonna go see Max." i smiled, as mike nodded smiling lightly.

"hang later?" he smiled, as i nodded, smiling lightly.

i walked back downstairs, walking out the door to see Max. i walked to her house, knocking on the door, as i heard shuffling.

she opened the door, as i smiled widely, seeing her gasped. she screamed jumping up and down as i smiled, hugging her tightly.

"oh my god, we have SO much to catch up on!" she dragged me into her house, as i chuckled, smiling.

i left max's house, as i walked back to mikes, as i sighed, knocking on his door.

"hey babe- i mean.. el." mike chuckled awkwardly, as i smiled, walking in.

"wanna go upstairs?" he asked, making me nod slowly. i followed him upstairs, as we walked into his room, sitting on his bed.

"so... are your powers back?" he asked, trying to make conversation since it was getting awkward.

"nope." i sighed, as he nodded slowly.

"well i'm sure you'll get them back eventually." he smiled lightly, making my heart melt. i missed his smile.

i blushed lightly, as he smiled, blushing as well.

i missed him so much.

"el?"

"yeah?" i looked up at him, looking into his big brown eyes.

"c-can i kiss you?" he asked shyly, as i smiled lightly, nodding slowly.

he slowly leaned in, as he put his arms on my waist, about to kiss me, until the door barged open, making us gasp, turning.

"oh.. sorry." karen laughed awkwardly, as mike groaned, getting up.

"mom learn to knock!" he slammed the door, as i sighed, giving him a look.

"don't be rude to your mom, she's nice." i smiled, as he shrugged, sitting back down.

"where were we."

"right." i chuckled awkwardly, as he smiled, leaning in. i felt his lips touch mine, as i melted into the kiss. 

i missed this. 

i put my arms around his shoulders, as he sighed, pulling me closer to him.

he leaned back on the bed, as i smiled into the kiss, pulling him closer.

"i love you." he sighed, continuing to kiss me, as i pulled away.

"i love you too." i smiled, as he blushed lightly, putting a strand of hair behind my ear.

we spent the whole spring break together with our friends, and it was the best. i wish i didn't have to go back.

the last day came around, as i cried, burying my face in mike's shoulder.

"we still have few hours together." he whispered, hugging me, as i cried, shaking my head.

"i don't want to say goodbye." i sniffled, pulling away.

"i don't either, but i promise i'll come visit you more often" he wiped my tears, as i sniffled, nodding my head.

"promise me that you'll call everyday." i sniffled, as he smiled, grabbing my hand.

"i promise i will call you everyday & i will visit you as much as i can."

i nodded, giving him another hug, as he sighed, hugging me tightly.

"i wish you could just live with me." he sighed, as sniffled, nodding in agreement.

"i hate it where i live, i miss it here." i sighed, looking down.

"when we get out of high school, we can go to college close by & we can live in hawkins together." mike smiled, making me nod, smiling.

"id like that." i smiled, as he nodded, smiling lightly.

we put our bags in the car, as i sighed, giving max a big hug. "i'm gonna miss you best friend." she sighed, hugging me tightly.

"i'm gonna miss you too." i smiled, pulling away from the hug, hugging everyone.

i turned to look at mike, seeing his eyes water, as i walked over to him, wiping his tear.

i hugged him tightly, as he sighed, burying his face in my shoulder, as i cried, hugging him.

it's so hard saying goodbye.

he pulled away, resting his forehead on mine, as he kissed me softly.

"don't be gone too long." he opened the car door for me, as i nodded, smiling lightly.

"i love you el."

"i love you too." i gave him one last hug, before getting in the car. i closed the door, as joyce drive off, making me sniffle.

i'll see him again soon.
