Troubles

Campaign went well. Of course!

My smart idea put Micheal in the position. He's now all smiles at the stage while being inaugurated as the new student body president.

Ang galing talaga ng idea ko. Anyway, I won't elaborate on that. What's important is that Michael won and he is now recognizing me as his friend.

Speaking of my friends, it's been 2 weeks since nagalit ako sa kanila. Nobody helped me in my project Michael. Casey, Mildred, Jobel, Jake and Dennis ignored my plead. I don't need them anyway. I don't need people who do not consider me as their friend especially in times of emergency.

I do not allow them now to enter our tambayan. My dad donated this building in a condition that I would have a space where I can stay during off-class hours.

Since I have the right on this place, I can't let them in. And they clearly knew about that after our heated argument.

That's why I formed my new group.

Meet Cheng, Ykai and Jade. They are my new friends now. We're all grade 12.

Cheng is a rich brat like me, Ykai is my co-cheerdancer and Jade is my number one fan girl.

They are all nice naman. They helped me with operation Michael and we all have one thing in common. Our love for bags.

Name it... Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Lana Marks, we all have this in our collection. Kaya ayos na rin ako with my new friends. Compared naman kay Casey na obsessed sa ballet, si Jobel sa theater, si Mildred sa boys, si Dennis sa girls at si Jake sa books. Mas masaya naman ako ngayon with my new friends.

Forget about them.

Bigla akong napa-angat ng upo sa couch nang bumukas ang pinto ng tambayan.

"So-sorry, akala ko walang tao."

It's Jake.

"Pwede ko bang kunin yung mga books kong naiwan sa locker?"

"Why would I allow that?"

"Ka-kasi .... ahmmm...."

Here he goes again. Stuttering.

Kawawa talaga ang isang to. Kaya palaging nabu-bully.

I grabbed a fashion magazine and started scanning the pages. I can see from my side that Jake is getting his books.

"Alis na ko."

"Wait."

"Why?"

He seemed clueless. But an idea is forming my witty mind. I need Jake for my waterloo subjects which are math and science. Though, I'm an honor student I really hate science. Why do I care how to get the motion, energy and pendulum movement? Where will I use that anyway? Besides, they won't be needed in my fashion designing course. It doesn't matter. Hah! Matter. Science pala iyon. Defined as anything that occupy space and has weight. Whew! I know a little. But my mind is really not into it.

"Tell me something that you want in exchange for my science project. I'll help you with it."

He seemed irritated. "Nothing. Just don't bother me anymore." He went out.

"Aghhh..." Naibagsak ko ang ang magazine sa inis.

Ang kapal ng nerd na yon. If not for science di kita kakausapin.

"Hi Raine!" Masayang bati ni Jade. "I saw the nerd guy coming out of here.

Friends na ba ulit kayo?"
