i am waiting
for the whispers
to come back to me
i heard this and that
aren't you so glad
i am happy
but in a streak
of pain
i ponder my mistakes
and am confused
as to why
you don't agree with what i say
stubbornness
will kill
the both of us
because we're so focused
on letting go
of the foolish past
but look at us
we can't communicate
about the smallest of things
and we're lost
to discombobulate
because of this
or at least i am
because here are my hands
typing swiftly
while you're
still responding
and probably smiling pretty
blame my age
and my weak heart
for acting so silly
but i just don't understand
why it can't
just be easy
