Stein's Point of View

I was in class teaching about resonating with more than one person and Maka raised her hand,

"Professor Stein, how can you match soul waves with more than one person?"

"Well, it is very difficult. Trust me." I replied, chuckling and I could feel (Y/N)'s soul wavelength coming towards the classroom.

"How about I give an example?"

"How would you-"

Knock Knock

"Sorry, Stein." (Y/N) apologized, coming inside and smiling.

"It's quite alright, (Y/N). Sid is free now, yes?"

"I'm pretty sure."

"Can you see if he and Naigus can come help me teach a lesson?"

"Sure."

"Hey, Miss (L/N)! Could you teach me a lesson?" Soul shouted, suggestively and earning a hard glare from me. Sighing, (Y/N) giggled and I informed her,

"Bring them out in front of the academy."

"Of course." She turned to walk away and I grabbed her wrist, softly.

"Hey...Kiss?" Her face flushed and I smiled at her, gently. She stood on her toes and pressed a kiss to my cheek, making me smile. As she left, I looked after her and someone in the class wolf whistled, making me turn around.

"Come on. We're gonna go wait for them." Putting my hands into my pockets, I walked to the doorway and waited while everyone filed out of the room. Maka hung back and asked,

"You and Miss (L/N)'s resonance rate must be extraordinary." Looking down at the young girl, I hummed and replied,

"Why do you say that?"

"It's just that you love each other so much. Your connection must be very strong."

The image of (Y/N) in a sundress came to the front of my mind. She was smiling and holding my hand, looking at me as though I was the only person in the world. Smiling to myself, I nodded and agreed,

"Yeah."

"..."

"Maka, why do you point that out?"

"Oh! Nothing. I just envy it."

"Have you talked to Soul about this?"

"No! He would brush me off!"

"You never know. He may surprise you. Besides, I'm sure you two will get it. You're stronger than you give yourself credit for, Maka."

"Huh? Thank you, Professor."

Nodding, I looked at the sky when we got outside and she went towards Soul and the others. Leaning on a pillar out front, I waited and when I felt (Y/N), Sid, and Naigus's wavelengths I called to the kids,

"Hey, quiet down. We're about to get started." Hearing footsteps, I asked Sid and Naigus, without moving,

"Can you spare time to teach them how team resonance works?"

"Sure thing, Stein. Naigus." He replied, holding his hand out to her and she transformed, resonating with Sid. (Y/N) transformed and we resonated, as I explained,

"After resonating with you partners, you have to match the other groups' wavelength. It takes accepting it, patience, and focus. Ready Sid?"

"Ready." Matching his wavelength, the kids wowed and (Y/N) thought to me,

'You went through all this trouble for a resonating exorcise?'

'No, I was tired of being inside.'

Sid chuckled and we let our resonance falter, Naigus transformed back.

"Thanks, Sid. You too Naigus. You guys were great." I thanked them, as (Y/N) changed back and I gave them a thumbs up. (Y/N) stretched and Soul asked,

"Hey, Stein! Can (Y/N) give me some pointers?" Glancing at him, the way he was looking at (Y/N) put me on edge and I frowned, replying,

"No." (Y/N) looked at me and chuckled, replying,

"He's right. I don't think that would be a good idea."

"Aww. How upsetting." He pouted. Maka glared at him and elbowed him in the ribs, making him groan.

"Soul behave!" Maka hissed, making (Y/N) look at her and understand, instantaneously. Looking at me, I nodded and she smiled, softly. Approaching the pair, Soul ogled her and (Y/N) smiled at Maka, asking her to walk with her. Maka looked at her and then at me, before nodding. Soul pouted and I motioned for Soul to come over to me, informing everyone else,

"That'll be all for today. Class dismissed." Soul stood in front of me and I asked him,

"Walk with me?" He looked over to where (Y/N) and Maka disappeared before, replying,

"Sure."
