Thunder Palace

You sprinted through the town avoiding the crowd of people who were going about their day as normal, unaware of the impending doom that was sure to befall the town due to Laxus's Thunder Palace.  Why wasn't the damn thing already Destroyed? Well that's because Evergreen had turned Fairy Tail's female mages to stone and forced everyone else to fight for their freedom. You got lucky, you were out on a mission before this occurred, and was just returning home when you discovered what had happened.

~Flash Back~

You were walking back to Magnolia after a month long mission. You were ready to go back to the guild, see everyone, and relax, though you were hoping to see someone in particular first. A small smile made its way to your features, you had always liked Bickslow but he was almost never around. He was always out on missions with the Thunder Legion and when he was at the guild he was still hanging around Laxus, the leader of their little group and a fellow S-class mage.
You shook your head to clear your thoughts, if you started thinking about them now you would just make yourself upset. You just needed to focus on getting.... What the fuck was that? You stopped dead in your tracks, bag slipping off your shoulder and dropping on the ground as you stared at the large clear lacrima surrounding the town. Upon closer inspection you saw the bright thunderbolt in the middle of each sphere, Thunder Palace. Why was there a Thunder Palace  around the town? Surely if wasn't part of the festival..... Your heart skipped a beat and you felt the color drain from your face, Laxus. It was then you began sprinting towards the town, praying your guildmates were safe.
While you were running towards the town, you had a million questions running through your head. What the hell is Laxus doing? Is the Master okay? Is the guild okay? Is the whole Thunder Legion apart of this? Is Bickslow apart of this? That last question caused you to misstep and fall the ground. You groaned, getting on your hands and knees you sit there and think about that. Was he apart of this? And why? You gritted your teeth, idiot. Shaking your head you got up and continued to run to the town.

You had finally made it to the town, and what you saw kinda scared you, or rather what you didn't see. The people of the town were going about their business, enjoying the earlier part of the festival like nothing was happening, and you saw none of your guild mates running around trying to find Laxus or the Thunder Legion.

Where the hell is everyone?

Ignoring the roaming people you sprint in the direction of your guild, you finally reach the large doors to the guild. Bolting through the doors you gasp, what you saw was very unpleasant. Your guild female members were up on stage.... And completely turned to stone! There was Lucy, Levy, Cana. But where was Erza?

"(Y/N)?"

You spin around to see the master, Natsu and Gajeel. "Master! Natsu! Gajeel! What are you doing here? Where are the others? Whats going on?" Makarov held up his hand signalling for you to cease your questioning, which you comply to, tapping your foot on the ground in anticipation.

"Laxus ordered Evergreen to turn all of our female guild members to stone, and she told everyone that the only way to free them was to fight until there was only one man standing."

You grit your teeth, how dare they?! What the hell was their issue? You close your eyes and take a deep breath, what the Master said explains a few things, but if that was true where was Erza? "Master where's Erza then? Shouldn't she be stone too?" you question. Gajeel beat the master in answering your question.
"Because of her weird fake eye, the spell wasn't very effective so she was able to break out. She left to go find Evergreen and force her to release everyone else" Natsu nodded in agreement "Yea! And Gajeel and I can't leave because of some stupid spell cast around the guild!" You tilt your head in confusion, "What spell?" You asked, and looked at your Master questioningly."Freed cast a spell not allowing anyone over the age of sixty to leave the guild hall, and for some reason Natsu and Gajeel can't leave either" The Master grumbled.
