Traveling through the clear sky
I swim through rays of light
Rays of sunshine
Brighten my life
I appreciate you
I soak you up
I enjoy the warmth
For days upon days
I trusted you
I sought warmth
I wanted light
I let you in,
Unprotected
You've blinded me
Caused water to run down my face
Turned me dark
I felt the burn
Then craved the cold
I learned
Without the light
You're just ultraviolet
