Now You're Gone 9/18/14

5 0 1

I sit here
In silence
Surrounded
By sound

The crying
The yelling
The ranting
The frustration

You were no angel
You've done wrong
You went through
Fair punishment

But then you came back
We were happy
You were happy
You had a chance

I remember you
Before the tattoos
Before you disappeared
Before things went wrong

Last time I saw you
We were celebrating
Our grandmother
Was freed as a worker

I remember
the last time you hugged me
I remember
Thinking it was a chance

I was more mature
I wanted to be closer
Like my sister
And yours

But you relapsed
They saw a chance
And took it...
Took you

And...
Now you're gone

...And I don't even get to say goodbye
