Big News

Makoto and Haru stood around nervously as they waited for Rei to come back with waters. They were currently sitting on the couch at Rei's house, their hands interlocked. Nagisa sat on the floor in front of them, very impatiently as he waited for them to explain their news.

"Sorry that took a while." Rei spoke as he returned with a smile and two drinks in hand.

"No no, it's okay." Makoto tilted his head and smiled.

Rei sat down on a chair, unlike his boyfriend, and crossed his legs. "Sooo....what's the big news?"

Haru and Makoto looked at each other before taking a deep breath. "We're getting married!"

Nagisa and Rei stared blankly at the couple opposite them and then at each other and then back at the others.

Makoto and Haru nervously gulped at the lack of reaction from their friends. "Umm guys?"

Nagisa and Rei cut them off by obnoxiously shouting and jumping up for hugs. "Oh my god! I can't believe it!" Rei was practically blubbering at this point.

"Gosh! It's about time you two, ha I've practically known since middle school!" Nagisa was loud in their ears.

All of them were laughing tears of joy and were all being smothered with hugs. "You know, we're next." Nagisa spoke.

"W-WHAT?!" Rei panicked. "We aren't even officially 3rd years, what are you TALKING about?!"

Nagisa laughed lightly, not bothering to answer his boyfriend.

"Soooo....who's gonna be your best man?" Rei asked cautiously.

If Nagisa was a dog, his ears would've stood straight up and he would've began running in circles. "Oooh me me me me me!"

Makoto laughed at their antics. "You guys?" He began. Nagisa and Rei calmed down and cleared their throats out of embarrassment. "We each get a best man."

It took Nagisa and Rei a surprising amount of time before they understood what that meant. "Yes! We're both gonna be a best man!" Rei pumped his fists in victory.

"I was going to pick Nagisa, since he's always there for me." Makoto spoke. Nagisa jumped up to hug Makoto, ending up in his lap.

"Yay! Mako-Chan picked me!" Nagisa squirmed around happily as Makoto laughed and try to still his hyperactive puppy of a friend.

"So I'm assuming that you are going to pick me?" Rei said as he adjusted his glasses higher on his face.

"Yep." Haru said. Rei was a lot less hyper about this news and they just gave each other a half hug before they sat back down.

"Soooo....when's the big day?" Rei finally asked.

Makoto and Haru looked at each other. "Well, we didn't really want a big white wedding, we more just wanted to have a small laidback one."

Nagisa and Rei nodded their heads in understanding.

"So we were thinking in about 2 weeks." Makoto finished.

"2 WEEKS?!" Rei and Nagisa shouted in unison.

"We don't want anything that would take a lot of planning, so we figured everything could be arranged in 2 weeks." Haru shrugged casually.

The boys sat down in their own living room, but this time they were facing Ren and Ran. They were obviously nervous, thinking that the meeting that they had called was bad news.

"A-are we in trouble?" Ran spoke up, her knee bouncing.

"No, you're not in trouble. This isn't bad news, okay?" Makoto said softly, getting her to calm down slightly.

"I assume that you already knew that me and Haru are dating, correct?" Makoto started.

Ren and Ran both nodded their heads.

"Okay, so we've been dating a very short amount of time, but we've been with each other since kindergarten, and we've been doing some thinking."

Ren and Ran looked at each other and then back at the boys, anticipation written all over their faces.

"After a lot of talking we've decided that we are going to get married in 2 weeks." Makoto finished explaining but as soon as Ren and Ran heard the word "married" they were out of their seats and tackling the two boys in hugs.

"Mako-nii?!?!?!" Ran gasped. "Can I be the flower girl? Pleeeease pretty pretty please???"

Makoto and Haru chuckled. "Of course, Ran."

She beamed brightly and hugged her brother tightly. Ren stopped jumping around and he fiddled with his hands.

"What the matter, Ren?" Haru asked softly. He put his arm around his shoulder, pulling him a little closer.

"I-I want to be in the wedding too." He whined, tears brimming his eyes.

Haru cooed at Ren's childlike behavior. "Ren, you are going to be in the wedding." With those words, Ren stopped crying and just sniffled.

"I am?"

"How would you like to be the ring bearer?" Haru smiled when Ren smiled, his eyes closing.

"Wow, he smiles just like Mako." Haru thought.

"Well, I think that we can agree that that when well." Makoto said as he and Haru got ready for bed.

"Yeah, so now all we need to do is write some invitations and send them out." Haru agreed. Makoto stood at the sink, brushing his teeth as Haru walked up behind him, wrapping his arms around the others lower waist.

Makoto leaned back into Haru's body slightly and Haru placed sloppy kisses on the back of his neck and over to his shoulders.

Makoto sighed in contentment but he had to move away even if he didn't want to in order to finish brushing his teeth.

"Meet you in bed?" Haru said as he walked towards the door, and with Makoto's nod of his head, he was out of the room.

Makoto looked himself in the mirror and smiled a little, he looked down at his hands with a giddy feeling when he saw the ring that was once wrapped around a chain, now placed on his finger.
