Chicken noodle soup

The next day, Ran wasn't feeling well. Her stomach wouldn't keep any food down and her head was pounding.

Makoto brought her cold water and some more medicine as well as a towel and a bucket of water.

She gratefully took the medicine and laid her head back down on her pillow. Makoto dipped the towel in the water and rung the water out before placing it on her forehead.

Ran sighed in contentment as she felt the cold towel against her blazing forehead.

"Why don't you try to sleep a little longer, and when you wake up, lunch should be ready." Makoto said, gently combing her hair back away from her face.

She nodded slightly and closed her eyes.

Haru and Ren were downstairs making lunch. Haru chopped up vegetables and have them to Ren who dumped in into the steaming broth.

"Mmm it smells good down here." Makoto said as he walked into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Haru's waist.

"Well, I hope it tastes as good as I smells then." Haru replied while he cut up some carrots.

Once the vegetables were cut and put into the broth. Haru added in the noodles before he began to shred the chicken.

Makoto went back upstairs to Ran's room to wake her up for a little bit, or else she wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

She was laying on her side, he hands curled up by her face. Makoto gently shoved her shoulder a few times.

Her eyes opened quickly and she jumped a bit but calmed down as soon as she saw Makoto's face.

"Hey Ran, there's some chicken noodle soup downstairs." Makoto said gently.

She nodded her head and began to get out of bed. Makoto held onto her hand as she got up, making sure she wouldn't fall and they walked downstairs together.

Ren and Haru had just finished setting the table and were sitting down waiting for Makoto and Ran to join them.

"Thank you Haru-nii." Ran slightly bowed her head.

"Hey! I helped too!" Ren exclaimed.

Ran cracked a smile. "Thank you too, Ren."

Now that Ren was satisfied with his appreciation they began to eat.

Haru and Ren are their food quickly and sloppily, both of them slurping the noodles and flinging broth all over.

Makoto ate like a normal person and Ran ate slowly taking a few bites and then sipping some of the broth.

Sorry for the short chapter, it was just a filler. The next few chapters are probably gonna be short like this until I get to chapter 68 and 69 I think.
