*Melody*

In 2 weeks we'll be leaving on tour, and thankfully today was a day off from rehearsing.

Mother was at ease with her pregnancy and right now just trying to come up with names for my little brother.

We're all stuck between

We've also been looking into moving into a new house soon, since the apartment will soon become pretty stuffy with the baby and all.

Today we were all at home, Tahlia was resting on the couch with me while my father was organizing some sheets in the studio room, and Alice cooked up some lunch.

Tahlia was leaned against the arm of the couch while I curled a bit next to her, Hemingway sort of sprawled over her thigh asleep, Orange Cat curled up nearby while Mao was on my stomach and we watched The Umbrella Academy.

Mao and Orange Cat are still really curious of Hemingway, but have also been quite protective of him since he arrived. Hemingway does, however, prove to be quite mischievous. Hehe.

We were watching Episode 6 when I suddenly heard my father sound upset in the studio room and I pause the show to listen, but considering it was in the studio room it sounded muffled.

"He's upset about something," I said as I carefully sat up, Mao looking up curiously at me.

"Maybe he's stressing?" Tahlia shrugged.

The shouts continue and I couldn't hold back the curiosity and got up, moving Mao aside.

"I'm going to see what's wrong," I said.

"Do you want me to go with you?" She asked.

I nodded as we held hands and went down the hall, the cats following as well, equally curious.

We approach the door and I hear Mother and Father arguing...

"Those animals kidnapped our daughter, broke her wrist, nearly put her on a human trafficking ring, and then killed her biological mother!" Alice snapped.

"You don't think I know that?" I said.

"They why do they need her to go?" Alice asked. "Hasn't she been through enough with the trial?!"

"They said its protocol and I can't just keep her from this any longer," He said.

Alice sighed in frustration.

"Believe me, I don't want those bastards anywhere near her, but its required she be there for their sentencing," I said.

All of a sudden a shrill little meow went off behind us and we jumped, turning to see Hemingway stood not far from us.

"Hemingway?" I asked, then looked up to see a worried Melody, along with Tahlia.

I sighed, realizing they must of heard the conversation.

"What's going on?" Melody asked as she stepped up, Tahlia picking up Hemingway.

I sighed as I held my hand out for my daughter, who took it and walked over as I sat down, Alice going to stand next to Tahlia.

"Those men... The ones who kidnapped you months ago..." I said. "They recieve their sentence tomorrow, and... The man who kidnapped you requests to meet you."

Her eyes widen in shock.

After Melody was released from the hospital after being rescued from the people who kidnapped her and killed Victoria, the case was put to trial.
