Hola. Thank you so much for clicking on this story today, it means the world :)

I've also already written this chapter for the second time now. The first draft I wrote just didn't have the feel I wanted and wasn't very authentic. So let's try this again lol

(Me years after writing this book coming back to give the people what they want....a better kiss. You're welcome, everybody ;) )

Winter slowly straightens and my eyes open as his fingers graze my neck and my jawline, his eyes still closed. I blink in shock at the small smile on his lips.

"I - uhm..." I mumble before my lips close, his thumb placed gently on them to silence me. "What was that for?" I mumble him against his finger, swallowing nervously.

With a smile his allows his arm to snake around around my waist and pull me closer to him still. I don't even try stopping him as his lips brush against mine once more. My eyes flutter closed when he doesn't pull away this time, his hand holding my face, angling it as he kisses me. A happy hum escapes his lips as my hands somehow end up in his messy brown hair.

Winter's eyes open halfway and pulls away slighting before sporting an amused smirk. "Because...why not?" He gives me a relaxed grin, tucking a piece of fallen hair behind my ear.

My eyebrows furrow at his calm demeanor. "Why not? That's your excuse?" I ask him, feeling extremely shocked and a little overwhelmed with disbelief. Not to mention fairly dizzy and out of breath.

Winter shrugs, nodding, before dropping his hands to his sides. "It's not an excuse. You make it sound like I've done something wrong and I have to explain myself." He laughs, rocking back on his heels.

My lips purse with frustration. "I just wasn't expecting you to...I don't know - kiss me in the middle of a sentence I was trying to finish." I breathe, rubbing my forehead.

His head nods once, his lips pressed together. "Well then go ahead and finish what you were going to say." His effort to hide his smile was pointless. I saw straight through his attempt.

My eyes narrow in suspicion. "I was saying that I have no reason to be so dramatic and I have no excuse for how complicated I've been making everything." I say lowly, feeling conscious of Dakota's presence as he walks in the room. My eyebrows raise at the towel twisted atop his head, sinking quietly into the couch to my right in nothing but a pair of socks and loose fitting sweatpants. "Dakota." I greet.

"Sister." He smirks, looking between the two of us. "How are we doing, kids?" He asks with a smirk.

My eyes roll, stepping a few feet away from Winter. "We're fine." I speak through clenched teeth. "What is that towel doing on your head?" I sigh, gesturing in disgust to his appearance and internally cringing at his bare chest and torso.

He smirks at me, his green eyes sparkling with mischief. "Well while you two were most likely doing who knows what down here, I was upstairs showering. I hope you don't mind, Winter, I borrowed a pair of your sweatpants." He looks to the tall boy next to me with an apologetic look.
