Unexpected Christmas present

25th Of December. It was still dark and the streetlights illuminated the whole city. New York was beautifully decorated and a white tapestry of snow adorned the city. Slowly New York started to wake up together with a young couple in Manhattan.

Annabeth's POV

Soft lips kissed me awake. I smiled and slowly kissed him back. When I opened my eyes I was met with the beautiful sea green ones from my husband.
"Merry Christmas, Wisegirl."
He said. I smiled and kissed him again.
"Merry Christmas, Seaweedbrain."
Percy smiled and hugged me closer to his chest. I snuggled into him and laid my head on his chest.
After a few minutes I started to feel nauseous and ran to the bathroom. Once I was there I kneeled in front of the toilet and throw up. I heard Percy coming in and kneeling down next to me. He gently took my hair out of my face and rubbed my back slowly. This wasn't the first time it happened. Last week it only became more frequently. When I thought I was done, I tried to stand up but quickly kneeled back down when my stomach pinched together again.
A bit later Percy helped me up and gave me a glass of water to rinse my mouth.
When we were back in our room, I joined Percy in our bed and snuggled close to him.
"Anna...?"
I hummed.
"Maybe you should go to the doctor."
I shook my head and buried my face in his chest.
"Yes, you should. This isn't normal, Wisegirl. I'm worried."
I looked up and saw him staring at me, his face full of worry.
"You don't have to, Seaweedbrain. It's just a stomach flu or something."
He didn't really looked convinced but let it rest.

¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥ time skip ¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥

"Percy, do you have Estelle's gift?"
I yelled. I was frosting the last cupcakes and putting them in a box.
"Yeah, it's already in the car."
Percy came the kitchen in and hugged me from behind.
"And your Mom and Paul's?"
"Yep. How're the cupcakes doing?"
He asked while he took one and bit in it.
I rolled my eyes.
"Well... there aren't going to be many left if you keep eating them."
I scolded him playfully. He just laughed and kissed me with his lips full of frosting. It was disgusting and sweet at the same time. Disgusting because I got cupcake that came out of his mouth in mine and sweet because... well it's Percy. His kisses are always sweet and full of love.
When I was finished I gave the box with the cupcakes to Percy and took our coats. I quickly checked if the little blue box was in my purse and walked over to him. Together we went to the car and placed everything in the trunk. I stepped in and put on my seatbelt. When Percy was done he looked at me.
"Are you sure you want to go? If you're feeling sick we don't have to go, you know. Mom will understand."
I nodded.
"It's okay, really. I'm fine."
Percy still didn't look convinced.
"Really, I'm fine. Don't worry and if it would change you'll be the first to know."
With that I leaned over to him and kissed him. When we broke apart he had a small smile on his lips that stayed the whole ride to his Mom's.
It wasn't a long ride. After 20 minutes we arrived at their apartment building and went inside with the presents and cupcakes. Upstairs we were welcomed by Estelle who jumped into Percy's arms. (When he saw Estelle he quickly put down the bag with the presents)
"Pewcy!"
Percy laughed and picked up his little sister.
"Hey Little Sis, happy to see me?"
Estelle nodded vigorously and jumped back on the floor.
"Anna!"
She yelled and hugged my legs.
"Hey Estelle."
I squatted down and gave her a real hug. When she pulled away she started jumping up and down.
"Come on! Huwwy!"
Estelle took our hands and tried to pull us into the apartment. "Mommy has baked blue chocolate chip cookies but I had to wait 'till you wewe hewe to eat them!"
Percy laughed, picked up the bag with the presents and together we followed his little sister inside.
Sally welcomed us directly with a warm hug. We put the presents under the Christmas tree and the cupcakes in the kitchen. It was one of our best Christmas ever. Sally had baked a delicious meal (and blue chocolate chip cookies), we sang Christmas songs and ate cupcakes.
While Percy and Estelle were fighting about who would get the last cookie I quickly put the little blue box under the Christmas tree. This could possibly be the best Christmas present Percy will ever get, or I hope it will be.
After eating the cupcakes, drinking hot chocolat and just talking we went to sit by the tree to open the presents. Estelle was already there, jumping up and down.
"Come on! Come on! I want to open my pwesents!"
I laughed and sat down on Percy's lap. Sally and Paul were sitting on the couch and Percy sat on the tapestry leaning against the couch.
"Estelle," Sally asked. "Can you bring that big pink present?"
Estelle nodded and took the big box in her little arms. You could only see her two little ponytails above the box.
"Is it mine?! Is it mine?!"
Estelle was jumping up and down from excitement. Sally pretended to think.
"Do you want it to be yours?"
"Yeah!"
Paul laughed and said.
"Well... you're lucky then 'cause it's yours. Open up!"
Estelle quickly put it down and started to tear of the wrapping paper. When she was done I could see a Barbie dollhouse with a swimming pool.
"A doll house!"
Estelle yelled and started to open the box. It went on and on like that. Someone took a present and gave it to the right person. Percy got blue socks with finding Nemo on them and a photo album with picture of him and all our friends. There was one of him with Thalia and Nico in front of the Big House, of him, Piper and Jason at the arena, of the two of us at Central Park, etc.etc. Paul got a new school bag from Sally (she said his old one was to shabby) and 'a Christmas Carol' from Charles Dickens from Percy and me. Percy got Sally a new mug with 'best Mom on earth' with 'on earth' crossed out and replaced by  'in the whole universe' . Estelle got a lot of toys and a sketchbook and from Sally and Paul I got a new book about Architecture.
At the end there were only two little boxes left.
"Estelle,"
Percy said.
"Can you give that grey box to Anna?"
I looked up at Percy confused but he just smiled at me and put his arms around my middle. Estelle gave the little box at me and stared impatiently at me. She clearly wanted to know what was in the box. Slowly I unwrapped it and opened the velvet box. Inside laid a beautiful necklace. It was silver and had a little owl pendent with sea green emeralds as eyes. It was gorgeous.
"Do you like it?"
He asked insecure.
"Do I like it? Of course I do. It's gorgeous. I love it!"
I hugged him tightly and kissed him. It was short and full of love. He put the necklace around my neck and I sat next to him. He looked at me weirdly.
I pointed at the last present under the tree, a small blue box with a light blue ribbon.
"You see that little box?"
He nodded.
"It's yours. Go open it."
Hesitantly he stood up and took the gift. When he started opening the box, I started to get nervous. What if he doesn't like it? What if he would be mad.
Percy opened the box and revealed a small blue test, more specific: a small blue pregnancy test with a small blue plus sign on it.
"No..."
Percy shook his head unbelievingly but slowly a big smile appeared on his face.
"Are you? No? Really?! I-you-we!"
I laughed and nodded.
He dropped the box and kissed me. Not soft and sweet like before but hard and passionately. I smiled and kissed him back with the same amount of love and passion. When he pulled away he rested one hand on my stomach.
"For real?"
He asked still not believing it completely.
"Yeah, I found out last week."

Sally's POV

Percy dropped his present and started kissing Annabeth. When he pulled away he put his hand on her stomach.
Could she? No. But maybe?!
Estelle has taken Percy's present and climbed on my lap.
"Mommy, what is this?"
She asked while she showed me a positive pregnancy test. It came out of the blue box that Annabeth had given Percy.
She pregnant! I'm going to be a grandmother!
I showed the test at Paul. When he saw it he laughed and hugged Estelle and me.
We broke apart and Paul and I hugged the couple. First I hugged Percy and congratulated him. He was overjoyed, I could see it. This was by far the best Christmas present he had even gotten. Then I hugged Annabeth.
"I'm so happy for you two!"
"Thank you! I'm overjoyed but scared at the same time. This is so-"

Annabeth's POV

"I still don't get it!"
Estelle exclaimed. I gave her a small smile and squated down in front of her.
"Well Estelle, your brother and I are expecting a baby."
Estelle frowned.
"Pewcy is gonna have a baby?"
I nodded. After a few seconds of silence her frown turned into a big smile.
"You awe gonna have a baby!"
She laughed and jumped into my arms. Soon Percy hugged us both and seconds later Sally and Paul joined our groups hug. This was by far the best Christmas I've ever had!
