*THIS CHAPTER DESCRIBES A BRIEF SCENE OF TORTURE SUPPLIES, BLOOD AND PHYSICAL ABUSE*

"Levi fucking Ackerman." You mumbled, looking up at him through your crusty, greasy hair that covered your face. A grin grew upon your dirtied face; your heavy eyes following every motion he made.
"Back for another round?" You asked. Gently moving the strands of hair from your face, Levi then crouched down, meeting your face with his own.
"I guess I just couldn't stay away." Levi's emotionless face that told no story was staring you dead in the eyes. His bravado and status in the military was no scare tactic for you. It was his eyes that pushed you passed the breaking point every time. The eyes you've seen in yourself whenever you looked in a mirror. The eyes of a damaged soul. He tried his hardest not to show any sign of weakness. No glance into his past. He stepped away, referring to the contents upon the steel table toward the door.
"I never thought anyone could give off such a putrid stench." Levi took a jab at you, fully aware of the obvious.
"Gee Sherlock, I'd love to see how you smell after being tied to a chair for a week straight."
"Three." Levi uttered, pulling on a lengthy glove.
"Pardon?" You asked, needing him to further explain.
"Three weeks you've been tied to that chair." Levi confirmed for you.
"That proves my point even further. Besides, it's not like I was squeaky clean when you found me anyways." You tilted your head to the side, amused.
"I'm not interested in smart ass remarks. I only need questions answered." Levi explained.
"Mmh, and what questions could you be referring to?" You purposely tried to send him over the edge with anger. You heard a slight chuckle as his back was turned. He turned to you, slowly walking over. The tip of his boot met with one of the legs to the chair. He pushed upward, sending the chair, and you, flying backwards, hitting the jagged granite floor. The floor was stained with your own blood and God knows who else's. A squeaky giggle escaped your lips, amused with Levi's reactions.
"Glad you find this funny. However, I'm not running a comedy club here." Levi groaned with impatience in his voice. He picked you up and re-tightened the ropes wrapped around your body and the chair. You slightly seethed at the pain.
"If I had known how fun this was gonna be, I would've allowed myself to get captured a long time ago." You playfully stated.
"'Allowed'? Interesting choice of words." Levi questioned, walking back towards the steel table.
"How so?" You raised an eyebrow with curiosity.
"You put up quite the fight just to end up down here. I'd hardly say you let yourself get captured." Levi informed briefly. You grinned once more.
"My memory is pretty shaky now a days." You sarcastically mentioned.
"Clearly." Levi responded, coldly. You thought to yourself for a moment before speaking again.
"What's it like up there?" You asked with a serious expression, wanting to know.
"Huh?" Levi asked, confused with your question.
"Up there. Out of the underground." You explained. Levi lifted his head up, blankly staring at the wall before answering.
"It's bright and warm." He honestly answered. You smiled, shitting your eyes to imagine the feeling.
"Mmhh. That sounds really nice." You replied, still smiling.
"Why are you asking me this?" Levi furrowed his eyebrows, taken aback by the sudden shift in your personality.
"I don't know. You just seem like you understand what it's like to live in the cold darkness." You explained. Levi took a breath.
"Shall we begin?" Levi turned, holding a large pair of pliers.
"Oh fun!" You shouted, returning to your smart ass attitude. You knew Levi was the only one who had the ability to truly hurt you. Not physically, but emotionally. There was an abrupt knock at the door. A man that Levi had always referred to as 'Erwin' walked in. You sighed with exhaustion.
"Levi. I need to talk with you." Erwin gestured for Levi to come out with him. Levi wasn't pleased, but he did as commanded and walked out with Erwin. You sat alone once again, waiting for his return.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but I'm glad I caught you at a good time before you began." Erwin said with relief in his voice. Levi raised his eyebrows with slight shock.
"What are you saying?" Levi asked. He noticed the file in Erwin's hand.
"This is Y/N's file. It reveals that she had nothing to do with the attack against us. She was just to buy time." Erwin explained further.
"That can't be." Levi snatched the file from Erwin.
"It's all true." Erwin confirmed. Levi skimmed over the papers, sighing greatly.
"Fuck." Levi cursed, leaning his back against the wall as he continued to look over your file.
"She was ordered to be there at the right time, looking suspicious so she would be captured by us." Erwin added on, equally as annoyed as Levi was.
"This doesn't make any sense. If it's true than why didn't she come clean from the start? Why go through all the torture?" Levi questioned, a bit of shakiness was heard in his voice.
"Most likely in order not to lose the money she was given. I hate to say it but she's a lot like you were before leaving the Underground." Erwin admitted.
"If you hate to say it then why say it at all?" Levi replied. He then rubbed his index finger and thumb against his temples in frustration.
"To put it simply, she took the money without hesitation in order to get out of the Underground. I have to hand it to her, she's tough." Erwin chuckled.
"Damn, so we wasted all this time on her when we should've been continuing our search." Levi muttered, running his fingers through his hair.
"It wasn't wasted, it was just a mistake. Perhaps she can even help us find who it really was." Erwin brought up, intriguing Levi by the idea.
"Fine." Levi responded, heading back into the room where you were waiting patiently. Erwin followed behind Levi. Levi took off the protective gown and his gloves. You gently shot your back in question.
"I though you were just starting?" You interrogated.
"What, you want me to actually do it?" Levi slightly snapped. You frowned but didn't respond.
"Levi." Erwin warned, looking at Levi with a soft expression, understanding how he felt.
"We received some vital information about you and why you're here today." You squirmed in the chair, not making eye contact with either of the men. Your face revealed a grimace.
"We know everything, Y/N." Levi added. You lifted your head up, acknowledging that this was the first time he had ever said your name.
"Then, what will happen to me?" You tried to remain calm, panicking internally.
"I have a proposition for you." Erwin kneeled down to your level. Levi already knew what was going to happen, so he walked out of the room. You watched him as he did this, confused about his sudden change in behavior.
"How would you like to join the Survey Corps?" Erwin asked. Your eyes widened as you parted your lips in shock.
"Me? But I deceived you. I took money in order to make you all fall back on discovering the true threat." You plainly stated, wanting to avoid further contact with the Survey Corps.
"That's exactly why I want you on our team." Erwin reassured, confusing you greatly.
"What?" You looked at him like he was crazy.
"You only did what you did to give yourself a better chance at getting out of the Underground. I'm giving you the oppurtunity to never return." Erwin explained. You shivered at the statement he had made. You then looked around the room, thinking over what he had told you.
