Garret poured two tall corn whiskies. Louse I am ready. We are alone the duty Sargent has been told
not to disturb us.

Louse thought a moment, I don't have the few things Bill had to show you. So what I say has no
back up.

You see at one time, Man had machines unlike any
you have never seen. Not water or wind powered
they ran off  lectricty. Machines could think do things. Just like Man. Garret tried to talk. No let
me finish the first part. Then ask or talk.

These machines could walk talk, do the things man
could do. Best way to explain it. They could tie a knot like us. Make decisions not just do.

Machines took over for man, they did mans work.
Built designed made things. Man had no need to
work. In the industries of manufacturing, machines even built houses anything man could
do. Man didn't like machines in the service work,
Who would want to talk to a machine. Be waited
on by one.

So what few jobs remained for man. Paid low wages. Man couldn't afford to purchase the needed
things. They scraped by, some demanded higher
pay. Others wanted the machines gone shut off.

The few that had power, the owners of the Companies the rich powerful. Came up with a scheme to make even more money. Oh money is our trinkets. They sold the machines to man, on
time payments. So man bought the machine paid
so much a month. To own it and some to keep
it maintained. Instead of costs going down, they
went up. In turn man made some off owning said Machine.

Supply and demand the Powerful said, you can
buy more. I should make more. Again the lower
class, paid more than they could afford. Earnings meant nothing. More could go out than came in.

The Powerful bought the Governments of man.
The lower class no longer had a say. The many revolted against the few the Powerful.

The Powerful made machines to fight man.
The Powerful won this fight. Man lived with no
say and enough to get by on.

The Powerful grew more greedy and the need of
more power. They attacked distant lands across
The Ocean Blue. Bombs Garret, missiles that could
Destroy entire cities.

Garret couldn't wait any longer, you have got to be
spinning a yarn Louse. Machines smart?

No my friend not a tale the truth. Mother Earth
Shook and done her part. Nearly taking out the
rest of man. I have more but, I must have pictures
and books. The Waste Lands formed from man and
Mother Earth doing her part. Garret the start of the World moving on my friend nothing more.

It took many years for man to climb out of the pit
left by both. Some things still worked, Man used those to help nothing more. Some new how to fix
them. They were killed off during the great killing.

The keepers such as myself Bill, were out laws
subject to Trackers that searched us out.
Final decision death my friend. For knowing the
truth. I speak the truth, the way I was told by Bill,
Bill by his Father back to the beginning or end.
How ever you wish to say.

Garret the things I've seen in those books.
Flying machines cars that drove along roads paved
in concrete or asphalt. I'll speak no more, what I've
told must remain secret for you and our safety.

Garret nodded then shook his head, this is hard for me. To even think this is real. Sipping his whisky
Strange these things, I am lost this I must dwell on
a spell.

Louse smiled it is a hard task to think on. Garret
what you will learn on our return home. Will be even more staggering. Alas my friend finish that whisky. It is getting late.

Louse shot down the rest of his drink, Garret I need a breath of fresh air. You have a good night
and sleep.

Garret looked up, yes you too.

I know not a long part. I felt this needed to stand on its own. Hope these few parts, have eased more into this world. More action should be coming soon. I would like to hear your thoughts on this
Grand Adventure you are riding along with.
