We walked out of the mall, the weather above had changed drastically. Clouds covered the sky like a blanket. The sun was nowhere to be seen. Jesse caught me looking up at the sky and looked up at it too.

"Good day to be a vampire, huh?" He said, referencing the downcast sky.

My eyes popped out of my sockets, "Vampires exist?!" I asked incredulously.

He shook his head, "Not that I know of." He smiled.

We continued walking, the same car we came in was parked all the way in the back of the parking lot. "But apparently werewolf's exist, so would it be so far fetched to believe that vampires do also?" I said while adjusting the bags in my hand.

He laughed. "Maybe they do, but let's hope they don't."

We reached the car and my heart skipped a beat with the thought of Lucas being in there. But to my utter disappointment, he was not. I tried to not let the disappointment seep into my own face as I sat in placing the bags at my feet and then buckling in.

I needed to stop feeling this way, I reminded myself. Who was the one who told Lucas that mates don't exist? Who was the one who told him to stay far far away from me? I did. He was just doing exactly what I had asked of him.

The car started and we took off. Whizzing by the trees surrounding the forest. My mind was still plagued by Lucas, I hated the feelings that were brewing inside of me. I didn't even know this mans age, let alone anything other than his name and that he's a werewolf, and here I am, not being able to get my mind off of him.

I cleared my throat and grabbed Jesse's attention. "Giuseppe?" I called out

"Yes, Luna?" He answered back.

I fiddled with my fingers, nervous to ask him anything about Lucas. "H-How old is Lucas?" I whispered.

I could see him smile from the rearview mirror. "He's only 27." He responded.

I felt my self relax into my seat. 27 huh? Only 3 years older than me.

"Also Luna," I heard Giuseppe say. "Jesse's fine, not even my own mother calls me Giuseppe." He laughed.

I smiled back, "Only if you stop calling me Luna."

I heard him tsk as he pulled into the extravagant driveway of the castle. "No can do Luna, I would rather keep my balls. That mate of yours would riot If he heard me call you anything other than Luna or Queen." He parked the car, turning the engine off.

I unbuckled my belt and opened the door. "Well then, Giuseppe. I can't do the same either." I teased. "Goodbye." I waved at him, to which he responded with a big wave back.

I walked up to the steps that led up to the front door, and I opened it slightly. Stepping in I was greeted by Zeke. "Hi, Zeke... what are you doing?"

He had a fake smile plastered on his face, the kind that made it look like he had to take a dump.

"Nothing, Hey!" He exclaimed. "You want to finish our conversation from earlier?"

I nodded but was interrupted by the sounds of a kid screaming a string of French curses.

"Va te faire foutre!"

(Fuck you!)

I furrowed my eyebrows, is that Mateo? I set my bag down and looked at Zeke who looked like he was about to start leaking through his armpits.

"Laisse-moi tranquille! Salope!"

(Leave me alone! Bitch!)

I tried walking past Zeke and over to the sound of all the yelling. But Zeke grabbed me too quickly. "Not a good Idea Dawn."
