It's good to be back

I saw a man. All around me was completely darkness, not one single shade of light. I heard dark heavy footsteps that echoed throughout the dark endless room. Then, in front of me was the man. There was something oddly familiar about him that I couldn't figure out.

He notices me and smiles. He had black hair like mines, hazel eyes, and was taller then I was.

"Hey there cutie pie!" He shouted. I gave him a confused look.

"Who...are you?" I asked. He looked surprised and then hurt.

"You don't remember me sweetie?" I shook my head.

"Well, you were just a small new born of course you wouldn't remember your old man!"

"W-what do you mean?"

"I'm your father baby girl." Father. Those words sent shivers down my spine. He was...my father?! I broke down into tears, I couldn't believe it! After all these years, I finally get to meet him..

"Look how much you grown! I knew that it was the right decision to give my soul away. You just like your mother!" He smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back.

Mom was right, he had some sort of connection that makes him so...so likable and special about him that makes you get drawn to him.

He spread his arms out, wanting to hold me in his arms. I ran towards him and let him wrap his arms around me.

" I missed you and your mom." He says to me. I slowly nodded.

"We missed you too dad. But..is this really you? This isn't a dream or anything right?"

He shook his head. "It's hard to explain but sweetie, listen to me okay? Right now you are in a deep sleep." I slowly nodded my head, agreeing with everything my dad said to me.

"You can't stay here, you still have a lot ahead of you. I want you to clear your mind and focus on someone you love the most."

"B-but I can't leave you! I finally meet you!" I protested. He shook his head.

"I know sweetie but what about your mom, huh? Who's going to take care of her? what about Shade?" I opened my mouth to say something but he was right. I couldn't leave mom behind, and im sure I couldn't leave Shade behind.

I sighed and did what i was told. Cleared my mind and focused on the person I loved the most. Shade. I remembered the times where i would kick him out of bed, I remembered how I laughed at how he was in pain, and I remember the kiss we shared before we got interrupted.

I kept my eyes closed during the whole process, then i began to hear a voice calling my name, speaking to me. At first the voice was distance but became louder and clearer by the minute.

"Omg i'm so sorry Rachael!" A male voice. Shade?

"This is all my fault. Gosh i'm such an idiot!"

"I'm the one that stabbed her, i should be the one at fault here! My goodness, i injured an innocent human!"  Another male voice? Leon?

I slowly opened my eyes to see the bedroom i was in covered with flowers. All kinds of different flowers! I looked around to see that I was in Shade's room again. Then, at my side were Leon, Shade, and little Susie.

They all jumped in surprised.

"Rachael! You're awake!"

"Yay! Wachael's back!"

"Are you okay?!"

I laughed and nodded. Shade suddenly pounces at me and wraps his arm around me. Even though it hurted like hell, i didn't say anything.

"Oh my god Rachael! I thought you were going to die!" He cried. I patted his back gently.

"I'm okay Shade, don't worry." I whispered in his ear. He nodded but tighten his grip on me. Everyone seemed overjoyed to see me awake. Shade didn't want to let go of me when dinner was ready.

Both Leon and most of the staff had to pull him off of me. And he was determined not to. I told him if he didn't let go, I'll hate him forever and surprisingly he lets go instantly. It was good to be back.
