(Y/n)'s P.O.V

Opening my eyes from my long, well rested slumber. I yawned before sitting up out of my bed, shifting my irritating bangs out of my face.

I turned to look down at my alarm clock that suspiciously had not gone off this morning, and my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw that it was 11:31am.

"Ahhh! I'm late!" I yelled to myself as I got up and ran over to my closet, grabbing out my everyday attire and quickly getting dressed.

I rushed downstairs to brush my teeth, got myself a cereal bar for breakfast, and fed my cat Chichi.

Since my parents are always on missions, I practically live alone, I locked up the house and ran down the street before stopping dead in my tracks.

Crap! I forgot my kunai holster!

I faceplates and ran back to my house, unlocking the door and running up the stairs to look for my small appendage.

"There it is!" I breathed out exhausted from running the minute I woke up.

Making sure I had everything this time, I said goodbye to Chichi and locked the house door behind me, taking the keys with me and running down the street towards the training grounds.

The reason I was running around like a headless chicken was because I was an hour late to training with my girlfriend of 3 months, Tenten

Since Tenten and I began dating, some people in the village gave us odd glances or even verbal abuse, but the people we were close to gave us their full support and wished us the best.

Finally reaching the training grounds, I stopped infront of the cross-looking brunette who was tapping her foot impatiently and I placed my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath.

"Sorry... I'm so.... Late, I forgot.... To set my... Alarm..." I apologised through my breaths, Tenten's glare faded as she walked closer to me and rubbed my back soothingly.

"I can't stay mad at you... Are you okay honey?" She asked me with a worried expression as I breathed in and out heavily.

"Yeah I'm good... I just did a lot of running around the house..." I smiled awkwardly before lifting myself up and placing my hands on my hips.

"So, want to get started?" I asked her, her previous worried expressioned turned into a soft smile.

"Alright then" She giggled as she backed up a little bit and got into a fighting pose.

"Your doing good!" Tenten praised me as I once again deflected the kunai's the threw at me.

"But let's try close range again!" She smirked as she ran at me faster than I could blink, and before I could react, she pulled out two kunai, one in each hand, and swung away at me.

I had trouble keeping up with her since my stamina was quite low, if I ever had to battle for a long period of time, I would be in serious trouble.

And as luck would have it, as my mind was preoccupied by my thoughts, I failed to block one of Tenten's attacks and her kunai cut my shoulder, blood immediately oozed from the small but painful wound.

"(Y/n) I'm so sorry, are you okay?" Tenten immediately seethed her kunai and stopped her attack.

"It's okay Tenten, I'm okay" I gave my lover a close eyes smile, but she wasn't satisfied with my answer.

"We're dome training for the day, now let's get you patched up" Tenten replied before hoisting me over her shoulder.

"Tenten! Put me down I'm okay, really!" I pouted as I balled my fists and gently punched her on the back so I could get my message across to the stubborn girl.

"It's not just the cut, your arms and legs are a little banged up too, you need to rest for the day" she replied, pointing out the dirt and scratches on my legs and arms.

I just groaned in response to Tenten's words. I just gave up trying to change her mind and un-balled my fists.

"Can you at least put me down?" I asked Tenten, but she just chuckled in response to my question, "nope".

"Oww..." I whined in pain as Tenten dabbed ointment covered cotton ball onto the cut that her kunai caused me.

Right now we were at Tenten's house, her parents were usually away on missions like my own parents so she lived alone most of the time as well.

"I'm sorry (n/n), but you don't want it to get infected" Tenten told me, I blushed slightly at her calling me by my nickname.

I sat therein silence as Tenten continued to clean the dirt from my wounds and patch them up.

I was grateful to have a girlfriend like Tenten, she's resilient, kind, courageous, caring, maybe she overreacts sometimes but that's what I loved about her.

Tenten seemed to notice me staring at her, I immediately faced away and blushed, she smirked at my reaction, she was planning something.

"There, all done" Tenten smiled as she was done tending to my wounds. But as I faced her and was about to thank her for fixing me up, she got up on her knees and pressed her lips against mine, catching me off guard.

My widened eyes slowly closed before returning the kiss, savouring her soft, chaste lips, but the kiss ended all too soon.

"W-what was that for?" I asked Tenten, seemingly as she had done that out of the blue.

"I couldn't help it, I noticed you were staring at me and it was just too cute" she smiled as she stood to her feet, holding out her hands to me, I smiled back as I took ahold of them and she pulled me to my feet.

"Where are we going?" I asked Tenten as she walked, her hand still holding on to mine as she guided me to where I'm not sure of yet.

Without a word, she led me up the stairs and into her bedroom. Taking her hair out of the usual buns, her hair flowed down her back, I've seen her hair down a few times but I was still quite surprised how long her hair actually was.

"Nap with me?" She asked as she lied down on her bed, extending her arms out to me, gesturing for me to join her on her bed.

"Okay" I said barely above a whisper, I snuggled myself into her arms as I pulled the cover over the both of us.

"Love you, (y/n)" Tenten smiled as she lifted her head slightly to plant a kiss on my forehead.

"Love you too, Tenten" I smiled as I closed my eyes and enjoyed being in my lover's embrace.
