I wouldn’t imagine
my life without
the brightness
from your stars
to the darkness
of my nights.

I wouldn’t imagine
my life without
the soothing breeze
of your winds
to the aching wounds
of my soul.

I wouldn’t imagine
my life without
the cool calm waves
of your ocean to the
vibrant burns I
kept hidden inside.

I wouldn’t imagine
my life without
the much awaited mornings
you brought to me
after the long restless
and sleepless nights
that I had to cry through.

I wouldn’t imagine
my life without
the droplets of freezing rain
that wiped the scorching tears
away from my worn out heart.

I wouldn’t imagine
my life without you.

Because it simply
wouldn’t have existed.
