Vanishing into the blues on the brink
Of whispered promises
That make our hearts scratch with callouses.

Roses they're beautiful the layers and layers they keep going around that's what makes it pretty the layers of petals
But no one appreciates what really keeps it standing
So they snap it off from its roots its stems its thorns because they're obsessed only with what attracts their eyes
And then they watch it wither away slowly dying from the lack of loving that it deserves
