Kindness

Kindness isn't a weakness for
it meant having hope in your heart
when others held onto it
being a make believe abstract
of a reality that was a fantasized vision.

Kindness isn't a weakness for
it meant spreading the light around
and sparking up the silent souls
in a world that had turned deaf
to words of gentleness
and graciousness; a tune
overheard by the cruelty
everyone had turned towards to.

Kindness isn't a weakness for
it meant showing the world
colors apart from the gray
and creating a tint in the minds
of those who'd turned a blind eye
to the vastness and the greatness
each one of us could offer.

Kindness isn't a weakness for
it was the break of a dawn;
the end of bleakness and it was
the path towards what was
once only imaginable.
