20: Sick

Narrarator's POV

Soarin, Spitfire, Misty fly, Fleetfoot, Wave chill, Fire streak and Rapidfire, worriedly looked around for Rainbowdash. Its been 7 hours and she's haven't been seen anywhere! Not at the garden, her room, the mess hall, the Archery arena, or any places she was mostly seen.

Spitfire was getting very worried. But Soarin was the most worried. What if something happened to her? What if she got hurt? Or what if she ran away?

Even though it was impossible for her to run away because of the magical bearier, it still made Soarin shudder at just the thought of it. For hours and hours they didn't stopped. Soarin still stayed out late even when curfew started.

It was a colt night, and it was raining.

Rainbowdash had just got out of the magical room she's decided to call the room of Wonders. "Lost track of time" She muttered to herself and decided to go to bed.

Soarin however was still looking for her in the dead of night. Twice he had went outside to the pouring rain looking for Rainbowdash.

"Gosh where is that mare?" He grumbled and his teeth began chattering as he got back inside feeling cold. His head hurted and he felt dizzy. His vision was a little blurry, and he decided to go to bed. But the  more he walked the more he became week.

"Soarin? Holly Luna what the hell happened to you?!" Dash's worried voice made him look up and stand. He had layed down on the cold floor when he couldn't move another hoof anymore.

"Shit you've got a fever, come on, I'll takw you to my room" Dash said and then helped the pale blue pegsus up placing one hoof around her neck and helped him stand.

"Crap, Soar what the heck were you doing outside at the pouring rain?! Look at yourself!  You got yourself sick" Dash scolded. Soarin looked at her icily. "I was looking for you idiot! Where have you been?! You've been gone for hours, all our friends were worried sick for you, heck!  I hadn't even had dinner" He snapped.

Dash sighed in irritation but felt flattered at the fact that Soarin actualy skipped dinner for her.

When they reached her room, she switched on the lights and helped Soarin get in bed. He coughed and sneeze a little bit. "Damn it Soarin, the things you had to do, but still, Thanks" She said smilling warmly.

She took out a small noodle pot and filled it with cold water, took out a face towel, wetted it, and then placed it on Soarin's head cooling him down.

"Soarin, Did I worry you all?"

"What kind of a stupid question is that?! Of caurse you did" He said angrily and then coughed. "Sorry, its just that I lost track of time, I didn't mean to get you all upset" Dash said avoiding Soarin's gaze.

"Just out of curiousity where have you been?" Soarin asked suspiciously. "I can't tell you"

"Why not?"

"I just can't Soarin!" She said annoyed but then calmed down. She took the facetowel off of Soarin's head and then dipped it to the cold water and placed it back on Soarin's forehead. "I've been thinking about you lately" Rainbow said. "Call me sappy but, I have"

Soarin looked at her in bewelderment. "Why?"  he asked.

Dash shrugged. "You just seem to be invading my head all the time! Bit annoying realy" She said casualy. She placed a hoof on Soarin's cheek cupping it. "You're still hot, shit your fever is high" She sighed.

Soarin smiled. He was glad Dash has been thinking of him, glad that it was her who was taking care of him, its been five weeks and she's warmed up to Bloors academy like this was her real home. Dash stood up and went to her kitchen. Yes, she has a kitchen in her room. Fiftheen minutes later returned with a bowl of porridge.

"Here" She said taking the spoon and feeding Soarin. About five minutes later he's finnished it up and felt full.

"You can sleep here, if you wanted" Rainbow offered. "I'll just sleep on the floor"

"No!" Soarin said panicked. Rainbow looked at him lifting an eyebrow. "I mean, no, you can sleep with me, I mean its not like this is the first time we've slept together" He grinned and earned a hard slap from Rainbow.

"Ow! Whay was that for?! I'm the one who's sick you know" he said rubbing his cheek.

"That was diffirent idiot! See were hoofcuffed" She snapped crossing her hooves.

Soarin groaned and then just layed there on the warm bed. "Hey Soarin?" Rainbow began talking again.

"Yea Dashie?"

"What do you think about......me?" She shyly asked. "I think loads about you Dashie, why do you ask?" He smirked.

"N-no reason" She said rolling her eyes, cheeks burning red.

"Seriously though, what do you think of me?" She suddenly turned serious. Soarin was surprised at this. He sighed. "Well I think your imoressive realy, brave, strong, kind, atheletic, fast, loyal, trustworthy, clever, and......gosh how many times do I have to say you're beautiful?" He said with a laugh.

The rain grew louder, and there was loud thunder that can be heard.

"Well ummm....Good night Soarin" Rainbow said and then took a pillow and blanket, and then slept down on the cold floor. Soarin smiled as he watched Dash slowly fall asleep. Even when she's sleeping she's still beautiful.

He curled up and got comfortable on Dash's bed and closed his eyes to sleep. Even the pillow smells like Rainbowdash.

He slept peacefully, dreaming of him and Rainbow, oh yes and not to forget about pies.

"Psst, Soarin, you awake?" Dash asked shaking the stallion till he opens up one eye. "Mmm, I am now" He mummbled.

"Hey, uh can I sleep with you? I had a...a bad dream" She whispered. Soarin chuckled a little. "Second fastest flier in Eauestria scared of a bad dream?"

"Hey let me remind you that I am first place fastes flier ok?!" She snapped.

"Yes you can" Soarin yawned. "Now get in"

"What?" Dash blinked. "You asked if you can sleep with me, plus this is your bed Dashie" He reminded and then went back to bed. Dash smiled and then got in the covers and cuddled closer to Soarin, slowly, sleep took over.

She felt Soarin's heat, and he pulled her closer using his wing. He placed a head on top of hers, wrapped a hoof arouns her waist, and cuddled her. This time, Dash allowed him, enjoying it fully this time.

"Night Soarin" She whispered, but Soarin was already fast asleep. A single tear came out if her eye and she turned around to face Soarin's chest. She buried her face deeper to his body.

"I.....I love you"  she whispered and then closed her eyes and slept in Soarin's tight embrace.
