When We Held Hands

Chapter 20

Nag kukulitan kami ng kapatid ko nang may kumatok.

Bumukas ito at bumungad samin si Justus na nakangiti.

"Azalea, Julianna. Let's eat!"

Tumayo kaagad si Julianna at nag pabuhat kay Justus.

"Julianna, you're a big girl na. Mabibigatan si Kuya mo niyan." Saway ko sa ngayon na nakasimangot na Julianna.

Tumawa naman si Justus at pinisil pisngi ng kapatid ko, "Zea, it's alright. Tara na."

Tumungo na kami sa dining area, niluto niya ang favorite ko, Chicken with broccoli.

"Wow! Ate, this is your favorite!" Masayang wika ni Julianna.

I laughed and nodded, "Yes, baby. It is my favorite."

Umupo na kami at sinimulan ng kumain.

The dining area was filled with joy and laughter. Not minding the scene of what happened earlier.

But, I still need to be civil with Lance. The project is our very first project and I don't want it to be a bummer.

"Zea!" Justus called snapping me out of my thoughts.

Napatingin ako sakaniya at ngumiti, "Yeah?"

"You good? You're wandering off." He's examining me.

Tumango ako, "Yeah, of course."

Pag tapos namin kumain umuwi na si Justus at si Julianna naman ay natulog na.

I have nothing to do but to check again my e-mails and check on my works.

I was in the middle of checking and responding to my e-mails when my phone started to ring.

I answered it without checking who it is.

"Hello, Azalea Elania Jules speaking." I answered with formality

"Hey, it's me." It's Rob.

"Hey, Rob! What's up?" I started to talk casually.

"Can you come with me? I need to go somewhere." He pleaded.

"Ano problema?" Nagaalala kong tanong.

"Lance and Jane is meeting up in this restaurant. I wanted to talk with Lance, also." Paliwanag niya

"Bakit isasama mo pa ako? I have no business there to handle." Naguguluhan kong sabi. 

"I don't know, actually. My guts is telling me to bring you with me." 

I sighed. Should I come with him? 

"Fine! Fine! Fine! I'll come with you." Naiirita kong tanong. 

"YES! Thank you, Zea! I will pick you up in an hour. HURRY UP!" Binaba niya na ang tawag and I'm left here still confused.

Tumayo na ako at dumiretso sa bathroom para maligo at mag ayos.

After my routine, I decided to wear a casual navy blue floral sleeveless dress, partnered up with a beige flats. 

I now put my hair into tight curls and put a little makeup on my face. 

Powder, cheek and lip tint. 

Lumabas na ako sa bathroom at laking pasalamat ko na nakacharge ang aking phone.

Napatingin ako sa polaroid wall ko dito sa kwarto and what first caught my eye is the polaroid wherein Lance and I were smiling at each other with Nala in our hands, at the bottom part of the polaroid there was a writing on it, I smiled at that thought. 

"4 years with you." I whispered. 

I'd lie if I say I don't miss him, me, us. Together. 

I'm still wondering if that cheating didn't happen, are we still happy until now? 

"It still hurts, Lance. I want us back, badly. But you give me motives that I need to move on and never look back at you. Help me, Lord." I breathed and let a tear rush down my cheeks.
