Chapter 20

"Why do you always have to show me up?" Changkyun said as he rubbed his sore behind when they entered the house. Ty lee just laughed in reply.

"Omma Appa! We're home." She called as they ran upstairs to their rooms. She slammed the door behind her before she jumped on her bed and sighed as she could finally relax after her exhausting day. She smiled when she thought about her walk home with Taehyung before she turned over and hugger her pillow. Before she knew it she was asleep, still in her uniform. Her eyes fluttered awake when she felt a vibrating from her pocket. When she realised her phone was ringing she jumped up and searched herself as she patted her hands up and down her body until she found it. She fumbled around with the phone in her hand before she could answer it, so she didn't read who it was.

"Hello?" She answered quickly.

"Hello? Ty?" Someone replied.

"Uh yeah, who's speaking sorry?" She asked.

"It's me, Taehyung." He said.

"Oh! Taehyung!" She said as she put her hand over her mouth in surprise.

"Haha. Did you not save my number?" He asked.

"No, no i did! Honestly." She said quickly. "It's just i was sleeping so i didn't read who was calling when i answered." She said.

"That's alright haha. I'm sorry to wake you. Shall i go?" He asked.

"No, no! It's fine honestly. I didn't even mean to fall asleep. I still have my uniform on." She laughed.

"Oh okay good." He said. His voice sounded husky and a bit lifeless. She could tell something wasn't quite right.

"Is everything okay?" She asked cautiously.

"Huh? Yeah. Yeah. Everythings fine." He said. "I just wanted to talk for a bit." He said. "As you know i don't have many people to talk to."

"Oh, what do you want to talk about?" She asked as she sat up on her bed against the wall with her knees to her chest.

"Nothing in particular. Just wanted to hear your voice." He said softly.

"Are you sure everything's okay?" She asked again when she found his behaviour odd. He didn't reply. "Taehyung what's wrong?" She said.

"Have you ever felt so empty inside... so empty it hurts?" He said.

"I-i don't understand..." she said. He went silent for a moment. She could hear his shaky breaths down the phone. "Taehyung?" She started to worry. "You're scaring me..."she said.

"I'm sorry." He replied. His voice breaking slightly. "I shouldn't have called."

"No! Taehyung. Talk to me." She said. "What is wrong?" She demanded. "Stop with this wall you're putting up. I know there is something on your mind and you need to open up about it. You can trust me... just talk to me." Her voice turning soft. He was silent for a moment but Ty lee waited for a response.

"Ty... i'm broken." He said. His voice was breaking and his breaths short and quick. It sounded as though he was crying. She gripped her phone with both hands close to her face.

"What do you mean?" She whispered.

"I've done something terrible." He cried.

"What? Done what?"

"I don't know how to deal with the guilt anymore." He sniffed. She automatically thought the worst. Had he murdered someone? Was it a mission gone wrong?

"Shhh, it's okay, it's okay. Tell me what happened. Why do you feel guilty?" She said reassuringly.

"Ty... i really trust you. I know i haven't known you long... but you can't tell anyone." He said
