Chapter Two

"That was the longest flight ever!" I complained. It didn't help that I had an annoying child, constantly kicking the back of my chair throughout the whole flight. "Well it was 23 hours, honey." Dad said mockingly. Now is not the time dad.

We got our suitcases and we headed out of the airport, man was it hot. I mean, I knew the weather here was much better than England, but I was not expecting it to be this hot. It was so weird hearing their strong accents compared to our accents. I took off my coat as I could already feel myself starting to sweat. And I hate sweating. I'm not used to it as in England its autumn, and that's cold, but here its boiling hot.

Dad called out for a taxi. It didn't help that it was busy. We watched as other taxi's were driving passed us. One finally decided to come towards us so we got in and we headed off to our new home. I thought that we were going to stay a night in a hotel, but I'm guessing my parents want go straight to the new house. I've seen pictures of the new house. Mum and dad already went out before to check if it was the right house for us. I couldn't come because it was during my exams.

The taxi journey wasn't that long, to be honest it went really quick. I thought it was going to take ages, but by the looks of the neighbourhood, it looks like a quiet estate. When I got out of the taxi, I was gobsmacked when I saw my new house. It's much bigger than the house that I used to live in, and the neighbour hood is really big. I know I'm going to get lost straight away. I know I've seen pictures of the house, but I never thought it was this big. I don't even know why they want a big house. It's only the three of us there.

I saw the moving vans pull up in the drive way. "They're already here?" I said in shock. I wasn't expecting these in a few days. I guess it's handy, otherwise we wouldn't have much in the house. I walked up towards it and looked for the boxes that was labelled with 'Mai's Stuff'. "Yes!" I said loudly to myself. I have never been so happy to get my stuff back. I lifted up my box, but it was much more heavier than I remembered. I took a couple of steps, and found that the box was too heavy. I placed it down on the grass and looked around. It looks like a lovely place to live. I walked over to get my other boxes, but I stumbled over the box that I previously placed, and I just saw grass. I had fallen all of a sudden.  I pushed myself up and saw all my stuff was everywhere. "Great." I said sarcastically. I quickly grabbed my stuff and shoved it back in the box. I stood up and tried to lift the box again. As soon as I lifted it I could feel my feet slipping on the grass and I was falling. "Crap, crap, crap!" I started to scream because I was about to get squished by my stuff.

I squeezed my eyes shut, as I didn't want to see what was going to happen, and then I felt someone held onto me and helped me to stop from falling.

"Thanks da-" just before I was about to finish my sentence, I saw my dad through the kitchen window with mum. If mum and dad are inside, who the hell is holding me?

"Are you okay?" Said the mysterious person who caught me. I loosened my way out of their grip. "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for helping me." I said shyly, as I turned around, I saw that it was this extremely hot guy. Great Mai, this hot guy helped me from not falling. Smooth. I gazed up and was mesmerised by his appearance. He had these gorgeous hazel eyes. These cute little curls of blondey/light brown hair. He was smiling at me, showing his pearly white teeth. As he smiled, dimples would appear. He had the nicest smile. I couldn't help but smile back. I probably look like a right idiot right now.

"No problem. I saw you fall a few minutes ago, but I couldn't help but laugh." He laughed. I blushed even more. "You saw that?" I said in shock. "Yeah, you're not from here are you?" He said calmly whilst laughing. "Well, since there's a van here saying 'Movers Van', no, no I'm not." I said sarcastically.
