Unfulfilled request.
I won’t go down,
At your request,
I won’t follow you,
because you think its best.
This ship ain’t sinking,
especially not for you,
I’ll keep life afloat,
If it’s the last thing I do.
This head isn’t over thinking,
Every single sound,
Its thinking about life,
and what is left to be found.
These feet aren’t dancing,
Along to your beat,
I’m neither down nor out,
Not ever admitting defeat.
I’m not going down,
Despite your request,
Living without you,
Is what I think is best.
