Yesterday.
Giving up on yesterday,
And tomorrow too,
Just don’t ever ask me,
To imagine a life without you.
Putting yesterday on the shelf,
Left to be forgotten now,
Accept its occurrence,
Without questioning how.
Tied down to yesterday,
Though trying to let go,
Even in the absence of proof,
Our memories will forever know.
Let me hold onto yesterday?
And tomorrow too?
Allow them to just be,
It’s the easiest thing to do.
