Slipping?
My head is screaming,
Pleading with me to speak,
But I can't form a sentence,
Every coherent word forces me to appear weak.
My heart is weeping,
Pleading with me let emotion escape,
But I can't form a single tear,
Nothing I feel seems able to form a shape.
My limbs are aching,
Pleading with me to stand,
But I'm incapable of moving,
I'm sinking as I'm sat, in what feels like sand.
My lips are bleeding,
Pleading with me to remain alive,
But I'm frozen here, fighting a loosing battle,
Every good thing seems to have taken a dive.
My hands are burning,
Pleading with me to tighten my grip,
This is just a bump in the road,
'Please don't let it slip'.
