Truth.
Don’t move any closer,
But please whisper the truth to me,
Don’t move closer,
Let me alone to be.
Don’t promise me more,
If you cannot give the truth,
Don’t bother to return,
In the absence of proof.
Don’t lay a hand on my thoughts,
If its me you cannot trust,
Don’t respect the same in return,
Mutual understanding is a must.
Don’t enter my nightmares,
If you can’t control what you began,
Don’t tell me what you can’t,
Only show me what you can.
Don’t love me ever,
If you cannot understand,
Don’t tie me down any longer,
If you still require the upper hand.
Don’t think of me in future,
If you happen to let me go,
I’ll be out of here before long,
Revealing that the truth
I do, in fact, already know.
