Hold Your Tongue

Tame is the tongue,

That speaks no lies...

And drowns gossip,

Until it dies.

Falls from the mouth...

Nary a blistered word;

Of those whose secrets,

Have been unheard.

Alas, a buttoned lip,

Will produce no shame.

When locked, unbending,

The tongue that is tame.
