"Jack, you have to do this. Exactly for daddy, he's the reason we're even able to give it a go. He may not be here but he wouldn't put it down on his wishlist if he didn't want you to have it." Demi encouraged but she wasn't surprised when Dianna and Nick left the room. She knew this was something she needed to talk to him about alone. Something between the two of them.

"But I won't get to see daddy for the first time." Jack mumbled.

"He's really not very well at the moment Jack, I won't lie to you. He needs to stay where he is to make sure he's well enough to come back to us but he wants you to do this and I do. It's all we've wanted for you, since we found out you didn't have your sight. You have to do this Jack, for everyone." Demi matched Jack's smile as he smiled.

"I want my eyes mommy." Jack stated.

"Then what are you waiting for?!" Jack giggled as Demi tickled him but she was careful. She didn't want to overdo it, she wanted to get home and be a mom to her two boys.

"I just wish daddy was here." Jack admitted.

"He'll be here soon if he continues to do well and if not when your fit and well we'll go over ourselves and give him a little visit for a day or too." Demi encouraged.

"Promise?" Jack questioned.

"I promise little man, you might be able to see by this time tomorrow." Demi grinned and Jack smiled again holding his arms out for her and she made the move being careful as he gave her a hug. She kissed the top of his head having to hold back her tears.

"I love you mommy."

"And I love you too," Demi replied. "And I know how much your dad loves you."

"I love him too." Jack mumbled burying his head into her neck.

Demi couldn't help but smile as her phone flashed and she saw that it was Denise calling. She knew the timezone wasn't too bad but it was around seven here, Jack was just getting ready to go home with Dianna and Eddie who would be back with him early morning to see Demi before his operation.

"Hey," Demi greeted as she held the phone up to her ear glancing at Adam who made some noises in his sleep. "How are things?"

"They're okay, he's no better or no worse. They're just keeping him sedated for a couple of days, planning to bring him back home before they wake him up. It would be safer for him to fly that way apparently," Denise explained. "We've just settled down in a hotel, they're going to call us if anything happens but they think he's going to be fine. His body just needs time to recover now."

"I'm glad, I was really scared." Demi admitted.

"Us too but how is Jack? Is he having it done tomorrow?" Denise inquired and Demi smiled as she watched Eddie help Jack zip up his jacket. He was reluctant to leave wanting his mom or his dad but Demi assured him that she had to stay here and look after Adam which convinced him a bit.

"Yes, he wasn't sure at first but I managed to convince him it would be what Joe wanted. He just didn't want to have it done because he wouldn't get to see him straight away." Demi replied.

"Bless him, hopefully we'll be home soon though and Joe is going to need all the love Jack can give." Demi couldn't help but smile.

"Jack is leaving so I'll be back in a minute, I'm just saying goodbye," Demi replied and took the phone away from her ear. She gave Jack a kiss and watched Jack say goodbye to Adam before they left leaving Demi alone with her youngest son. "I'm back."

"Just give him all the best from us here," Denise stated and Demi smiled. "How is the baby doing."

"He's happy and healthy. I do have something I need to tell you though," Demi begun. "He's Joe's."

"Really?" Denise questioned sounding taken aback slightly.

"It's a really long story, Spencer wasn't the guy I thought he was but everything is okay now. It will give Joe something to fight for considering I named him after his dad."

"Oh Demi..." Denise spoke not knowing what else to say and Demi let the tears fall from her eyes too. She could tell Denise was crying.

"I'll send you a picture." Demi promised.

"I bet he's gorgeous." She breathed.

"He looks just like Jack when he was a baby. My mom knew straight away that he wasn't Spencer's baby. I'm sorry for keeping it from you all including Joe. I just had to protect my perfect little boy." Demi spoke wiping away her tears as she reached over and held onto Adam's hand.

"It's what any mother will do. I hope you're all okay and I'll let you get off and get some rest. I'l contact you if anything happens."

"Thanks and look after yourself." Demi demanded the two of them saying goodbye before hanging up. Demi put her phone down on the side smiling down at Adam. She found herself watching him again until she fell asleep herself.
