Chapter 9: Internships

The day of the internships had come and Izuku had decided to intern at Endeavor's agency with Todoroki. When he arrived he was told he had five minutes to get into his hero suit which for Izuku didn't mean much because he hadn't truly made a suit. Izuku activated his cloak and shadow and smiled. "Ready, or should I take the other 4 and a half minutes to sit around?" Endeavor got noticeably pissed off. "Well how about this, Todoroki and sidekick both of you shall team up to fight Midoriya." Todoroki and Endeavor's sidekick got ready for their match with Izuku, who was just smiling. Izuku had already sensed there wasn't enough life force in the room to drain and manifest his scythe without killing someone. He decided it would be a good opportunity to use one of his remaining quirks he had been "given". Izuku began glowing a dark shade of purple as it slowly turned into a purple smoke that radiated from his body. An intense aura surrounded the boy as he took a step you could see the two who were supposed to be fighting him back up a little and even Endeavor looked worried. Izuku smiled as he suddenly was right behind Endeavor's sidekick who he kicked with an amazing amount of power sending him flying into a wall creating a small crater on impact. Todoroki looked at Izuku and knew he had to make sure he kept moving to prevent an attack from behind and began using ice to slide around the room. Every time Izuku took a step onto the ice it would crumble beneath his foot. Izuku wasn't using his Shadow Step and his hood and cloak had long since dispersed and this made Todoroki wonder when he got this quirk and if it was under his scythe secondary quirk. Izuku smiled again and used Shadow Step to get in front of Todoroki who expected Izuku to go behind and ended up colliding with Izuku who used the momentum to drop to his back while holding Todoroki's collar and use his feet to throw the boy across the room into his father. Izuku then kicked toward the air and got up smiling as Endeavor was furious that he had been holding back at the festival and would of manhandled any of the students. "So was that the warm up for today? Or was that supposed to be the hard part?" Izuku said smiling knowing he was pissing Endeavor off but not caring as that hero was a total tool and he had overheard Todoroki talking about his father to others. The day ended with Endeavor having an obstacle course appear after the press of a few buttons and having them run the course until they collapsed without using quirks. Izuku lasted awhile but Todoroki lasted much longer in this exercise. Endeavor escorted Izuku to a hotel he would be staying at under Endeavor's charge along with Todoroki who had a room next to Izuku. Before going to sleep Todoroki came to Izuku's room to talk to him. "Izuku why didn't you use that quirk in the sports festival? Is it a quirk you mimicked from someone or are you like me and have multiple quirks because of your parents?" Izuku looked to the boy. "How many people would you think would of thought I was a villain if I had used that quirk? And yes I have multiple quirks, and no not because of my parents. The situation of me getting these quirks was because I got tested on in the past few years. Does that answer what you wanted to know?" Todoroki backed up a bit at how Izuku was just done with his questions. Todoroki thought to himself "Yeah many of those watching would of thought of him as a villain if he had used that quirk in the festival." Izuku looked at the boy knowing he had answered the questions he had asked in his head. Izuku smiled before saying "Todoroki don't beat yourself up about asking that. I guess I was a bit of a hypocrite telling you to use your full power while I was holding back. Sorry about that." Todoroki smiled and hugged Izuku. "You don't need to apologize you taught me to use my full power without thinking of it as my dad's power. You holding back is understandable due to the nature of your quirk." Izuku smiled before letting him know they should be getting to sleep soon. Todoroki nodded in agreement and went back to his room. The next morning they were awoken by Endeavor knocking heavily on their doors and being told they have 15 minutes to be in hero suit and in the training room. Izuku knew he could do it with Shadow Step as his hero costume wasn't anything other than what he was wearing that day. Izuku arrived in 9 minutes with Todoroki arriving in 14 minutes. Endeavor was excited today as he told them after training today they would be going after villains so training would be much lighter today. That night Endeavor told them where they would be going and it was Hosu city the same place the Hero Killer Stain had been seen and where Iida had gone after his brother's accident with Stain. Izuku thought that he would check up on Iida who might be on a path of revenge and that he would regret it should he complete the revenge. Izuku ran from the patrol path that Endeavor had laid out for them and went looking for Iida using Shadow Step. He used his hood and cloak to detect life force throughout the city and looked primarily in alleys to check for bodies that were damaged and found an alley where there was someone leaned on a wall with two people fighting he went to that alley and appeared.  The two who were fighting sensed his presence and looked to the hooded and cloaked figure. "Izuku this is my fight stay away from this." Iida said trying to keep this fight one versus one. Izuku glared at Iida before saying "You're doing this for revenge and you thought I was the villain of our class. I'm just trying to save you from making a decision you will regret." Iida knew what Izuku was saying was true, and began hesitating. "It isn't his fault he grew up in this society that worships fake heroes and raises the young to be such as well. Though this does mean I have to purge those heroes like him who hunt for revenge fame or wealth." The Hero Killer said to the pair of boys.  Izuku smiled "So you want to better the society and I agree a lot of heroes are only in it for wealth fame or revenge but doesn't that make you as bad as all those you are hunting?" The Hero Killer smiled as he said "I am the sacrifice to purge the world and I will then let the one true hero kill me." Izuku laughed "You mean All-Might don't you." The Hero Killer knew this kid knew his philosophy well somehow. "Sorry to break it to you, but you will be arrested today by me." The Hero Killer laughed as he brandished his katana and sped towards Izuku who used his hood as a shield against the katana. He then activated his quirk Enveloping  Darkness. Izuku began having the smoke coming from his body but the cloak and hood where still there, his eyes had turned black with white pupils in the shape of skulls  and approached Stain who had been intimidated by the sheer evil aura emanating from Izuku who punched him in the face sending him through one of the alley walls. When he got back up he saw Izuku walking slowly still towards him and he went to his knees in pure horror of Izuku. Who grabbed him and threw him towards the main street and followed him and when he got there he saw Endeavor and other pros waiting there. "I see you found the Hero Killer." Izuku smiled "Don't you mean defeated the Hero Killer. Also Iida and the pro Native are in that alley both are slightly injured, the Hero Killer's quirk was when he ingested blood it paralyzes the person who's blood he ingested. I will be finishing up here and heading back to my room is that okay Endeavor?" Endeavor laughed "You cocky son of a bitch, yes you are free to finish up and head back to your room." Izuku then got grabbed by a noumu that flew by Izuku panicked as he had no ways of escaping when all of a sudden Stain jumped up and ran to save Izuku and stabbed the noumu in the head bringing it to the ground and saving Izuku. The aura that was then released from Stain intimidating everyone around as he began talking about his philosophy.
