"Because you're my anima." The way he said it, didn't make them seem like hollow words. It was as if an unreadable emotion was attached to them, but he was the only one that could understand it. I realized that he has a thing for eye contact because his strong gaze makes me really uncomfortable.

"I'm your what?" I asked, finally breaking the silence between us.

"Anima." He repeated. "It's actually too much to take in and that's why I won't drop it all at once. We need to set our priorities straight. To begin with, you're going to start developing these abilities." He explained and I couldn't help but give him an unimpressed look.

"Everything you're saying sounds really absurd. You know that, right?" I asked as I continued munching on the bubblegum in my mouth that had now lost it's flavour. Yes, I witnessed his abilities, but that doesn't mean I'll blindly nod to everything he says. I almost blew another bubble through the gum, but he closed his eyes in annoyance and took a deep breath.

"Could you stop that for a while?" He asked, his hands clenched into fists. I couldn't help but giggle. He let out a frustrated sigh and slid the wolf-shaped metal to my side of the table. "Pick it up." He instructed. I didn't intend to, but when he didn't say anything else, I hesitantly reached out to touch it. As my fingers brushed against it's cold surface, I felt a strong force of chilling breeze gush past me. And then I saw the flash of images. A seemingly endless white desert, blizzards, snow flakes, a spotted leopard and some unknown people. The vision from last night seemed to resurface and the memory was now fresh in my head. I looked up at him, my eyes widened in startle.

"Do you get it now?" He asked hopefully.

"Leave." I said through gritted teeth as I shot a piercing glare in his direction.

"Did that scare you? I was only trying to-" I didn't let him finish. How else do you expect me to react after experiencing something as strange as this?

"Just leave!" I snapped. By now, there were a few more customers in the café that had stopped doing whatever they were doing in order to look at the commotion. I can only imagine auntie's reaction when she finds out that I indignantly yelled at a customer.

He placed a neatly folded paper on the table and stood up with a secret smile on his lips. "Just in case you need to contact me." He added before smiling at Young Mi and walking outside the glass door. After he was out of vision, I glanced at the paper he left behind.

Xiumin

Even though he has really beautiful handwriting, I didn't think twice before clenching the piece of paper in my hand and tossing it into the trash bin. Contact him, my ass!

"Who was he?" Young Mi whispered as I walked back to the cash register, my fingers still shaking a little from earlier. I could hear my own heart pounding loudly against my chest.

"Some freak. Don't let him bother you." I whispered back as I set to work. Yes Sarang, don't let him bother you.

I spent the rest of my evening thinking about him, that Xiumin guy. How did he know I work here? And what did he mean when he said I'm his anime or anima? What is an anima even? I snapped out of my thoughts as another customer dictated their orders and I quietly typed them in. "Will that be all?" I asked absentmindedly as that perfect vanilla ice cream like face flashed in my head. His dark brown hair, cherry like lips and those chocolate chip eyes makes him look like a walking day dream dessert. God, why am I such a creep? I couldn't sleep that night. It was all twisting and turning with my mind filled with thoughts about him.

The following day at school was boring, like the usual. I got punished for being late to school, detention for sleeping in History class, plus I forgot my lunch at home today as a bonus and then some random dude picked up a fight with me on the corridor.
