My whole life, I felt like I was unlovable. Like I was meant to observe, but never experience, and these thoughts and ideas have inevitably found their way into my mind, and they made me a bit bitter. But despite it all, I still wanted to believe there's still a chance for me. My heart was full of love, but I'd never had anyone to give it to. I always had too much to give, I overwatered my plants, I burned my meals, I overloved. And right now, all I wanted was to pour my love into Anti. I could tell he was broken too. Maybe, just maybe we could fix each other. Or maybe I was just naive and delusional for thinking a demon was able to love fully, unconditionally.

I didn't want to let go of him. I wanted all the bad stuff to disappear, but reality pulled us back as we heard Jack's footsteps coming back. I felt Anti tense up again, and he immediately let go of me. I watched him, a bit disappointed, as he walked past Jack and was slowly disappearing from my sight.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" Jack asked me, worried. I gave him a reassuring smile and fixed my crumpled clothes.

"Yeah, sure. Don't worry about it. I'm totally not freaking out about... another you. Doctor you. Not weird at all!" I nodded sarcastically.

Jack giggled, "Oh, Schneep? He saved your life, actually. I have no idea how he does that, he's not even a real doctor."

"EXCUSE YOU!" a hysterical voice cried out next door, followed by an inaudible tantrum.

"He's insane," I whispered, and stepped out of the room. I looked around the hallway, trying to catch a glimpse of Anti. "What happened to Dark, anyway?"

Jack sighed and walked out behind me, guiding me out of the hospital. "He got away."

"What?!"

"Shh, shh! Relax, didn't you hear the doctor?"

"RELAX!" I cried out hysterically, as we walked out onto the parking lot. I finally found out where Anti went. He was leaning against a black car, watching us without the slightest interest. "What are we going to do, Jack?"

He smiled at me and patted my shoulder encouragingly, as we stopped by the car, "I have a friend who will help us. Lucky for us, he's staying in-"

Anti snickered, giving Jack an entertained look. " 'Friend'," he air quoted.

"Shut up."

"Make me."

Oh my god. The last thing we needed right now was for the two of them to be fighting. "Alright, stop it. Can we just go before he finds us and kills us?! Am I the only one actually afraid?"

Anti shrugged his shoulders and opened the back door, gesturing to me to get in.

"She can sit in the front," Jack offered.

"No," Anti barked, a bit too harshly. I couldn't help but feel strange coldness in his behavior. Was this the same Anti, who went through so much pain just so he wouldn't harm me?

I couldn't take my eyes off him the whole time he was driving. Suddenly, I couldn't seem to read him. Something was off about him, and I couldn't help but wonder if maybe I was trying to see something that was never there in the first place. Did I dream up all these feelings?

With a strangely heavy heart, I fell asleep, and was woken up by Jack. I clumsily got out of the car and rubbed my eyes, "Where are we?" I mumbled, still exhausted.

"At a hotel. I want you to meet someone. But promise me you won't freak out."

"Alright, I prom-" I started, and in the corner of my eye, I saw him approaching us. I gasped for air and took a step back, bumping into the car, "OH MY GOD!"
