Like a string of pearls untethered
My words scatter across the floor;
Thoughts go this way and that,
And though I retrieve the bulk,
The wisdom I attempted to impart,
Rolls beneath the furniture of our
discourse
Fragmented just beyond my reach.
Though only a pearl or two remain
Strewn about, still to be retrieved,
Your patience wares thin, and
Judging by your countenance
I've lost your favour, and that,
Just as my mind re-grasps,
A pearl that rolled away.~gtk
