This is a kids book which has been written with imagination. My friend tilly-312 and I decided that our families would choose 3 (nouns) words that we had to base our stories on I had the idea that we both use the same 3 words and see how different each of our stories are. I may do more stories like this in the future with my friend tilly-312 and I have also published one that I did by myself. Our 3 words for this story were House, Tree and Bird. ‘The Stone of Lamfedios’ is a cross-over, fantasy fiction story for older children and young adults. Two girls from different backgrounds are transported into a chaotic and dangerous world where the distorted greed and power of Nembaw the Black Councillor threaten its people’s survival. Amid mysterious circumstances Gemma finds a strange, patterned stone on a holiday ramble with her family. Little does she know that her destiny as the ‘Keeper of the Stone of Lamfedios’ is about to unfold. She is drawn into many dangers as she fulfils her role undertaking a hazardous journey to the ultimate battle to save a land in dark turmoil. Whilst trying to start a stolen motor bike Marti is drawn into a confusing and unreal world with a bizarre companion. She hates exercise but has no alternative than to trudge through a strangely shifting landscape to an unknown destination under the power and illusions created by Nembaw. In this world both girls accept physical and mental challenges as they trek through a desolate mountain landscape. Here they test friendships and mould their characters. Gemma has allies in the form of Charia the wisest of Councillors, Tiarnis the Stone Mage and Hrabvar the Raven man. The violent Terracks become Marti’s dubious hosts but even as Nembaw’s ward she has no protection and may not be able to fulfil her own dark role.
