"Get in the fucking car." The anger in Jason's voice was unmistakable as I climbed inside.

"What the hell does it look like I'm doing?" I mumbled as I slipped into the passenger seat.
Running a hand through my hair in frustration and pulling the seatbelt across my body. "Oh and by the way, this is a van."

Jason narrowed his eyes at me, giving me a warning. "Don't."
He slammed my door shut and walked around the front, muttering words which were obviously profanities.
When he got inside, I braced myself for an argument.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He began, as he started up the car, his jaw clenched and unclenched repeatedly.

"You already asked me that." I rolled my eyes and stared out the window as Jason began to drive.

"I'll ask you again if I fucking want to ask you again, Y/n." He spat. "You went to meet my mother after I specifically told you never to speak about her again. What kind of person does that to someone they're supposed to care about?" His words were layered with anger and pain, I knew that I had hurt him, but he didn't listen to me when I told him that something was wrong.
It was something I had to do.

I threw my head back against the seat and laughed. "So you're avoiding the main problem here? Jason, you're so pathetic."

"Am I?" He seethed. "Cause I think the main problem here is that you have no respect for my privacy."

"No respect for your privacy?" I muttered, more to myself than to him. I screwed up my face, stunned to hear those words come out of his mouth. "Jason, you're the one who stalked me for three fucking years."

"I didn't have a choice, Y/n." He looked over at me with fire in his eyes. His hands tightened around the steering wheel and his muscles tensed.

"Shut up," I spat, looking out the window. "I don't even want to talk to you."

"Yeah well too bad, Y/n." He snapped. "We're talking about this and you don't have a choice, I don't understand why you'd do something like that, why you'd go poking around in my past."

"Because I needed answers, I can't live like this. I can't not know what's going on around the people I care about."

"What made you think my mom could give you answers? I've distanced myself from her for a fucking reason, Y/n." He sounded disgusted and his voice shook.

"You need a family, Jason." My voice grew thicker and I looked at him painfully. "Sometimes it's hard to cope without one." Hot tears pricked the back of my eyes but I refused to let them fall.

"Don't you dare try to turn this around on me." Jason growled, pressing his foot further down on the exhilarator and speeding up.

I dug my nails into the leather seats. "Fine, let's turn it around on Ben, are you gonna ignore the fact that-"

"That you slapped an ex-member of the Damnation?" He sounded shocked at his own words. "No, definitely not."

I looked at him, jaw hanging open. "Are you fucking stupid?" I asked the general question. "He's not an ex member, Jason. He's a member. He kissed me last night and said that if I told anyone, he'd kill Ellie. And then he said we had all fallen into his trap. I don't know what he's planning, but it's not good and we need to get out of there. I tried to tell you last night but you didn't listen to me." I rolled my eyes, frustrated.
Jason sped up, ignoring red traffic-lights and speed-cameras. He clenched his jaw, forming a tight line down his cheek.
Then his expression turned from anger to realisation, and then to worry.
Everything passed in the window as one big blur, just showing how fast Jason really was driving.
"Slow down." I muttered.
