Walking in the rain - by aneesamuhammad786

52 36 26

The dark, grey clouds
Obediently paves
Its route for rain
To make its way

The first few drops
As I walk in the rain
A puddle crops
And washes the stains

I cup my hands
It fills and drips
A vessel it forms
As I walk and skip

In sudden rage
Torrents gush
a war, enraged,
And puddles rush

The thirsty land
In joy it glows
The muddy sand
Soon overflows

Clinging clothes
soaked to my bones
Water filled shoes
With delight I moan

From the heavens above
The lightning flash
The rain I love
Feel its splash!
