Like a blanket of cloud
A covering of the earth
The cocoon so warm
A protection from harm
Knows when its time
To break the shell
To embrace the world
To fly so high
The patterns symmetrical
On its wings so colourful
Join the bees
In their quest for the leaves
Dotted specks of grandeur
In colour and splendour
Spectacular and elegant
The butterflies magnificent.
