Bookworm - by aneesamuhammad786

I crawl through the pages
Thick and thin
Flying over oceans
In a whirl-wind spin.

A flurry of emotions
Laugh and grin
One moment happy,
The next moment sad
moments pass
and then I'm glad.

I pause to rest
I fold the page
Get back later
For the next stage
It calls me back
The words my snack
It flows through my blood
And the knowledge I lack.

My imagination so vivid
Grasping more and more
My mind so filled
So much to store
As long as we read
The bookworm we are
We'll always succeed
To be the number one star.
