"Is there anything else I should know?" I ask Steve a short time later.
"Well, we got split up on our fifth birthday." He sighed.
I felt really bad for Steve. While I was complaining about little things, Steve had this big secret that he's been keeping with his life.
"So the mom Lithium said died, that's not her real mom? And your dad isn't your dad?" So many things were still unclear.
"Exactly."
"You didn't get much of a childhood, did you?"
"No."
"Well we need to change that. Let's stop at the general store up here." I announced.
"Why?" Steve questioned.
"What did you celebrate with when you were a kid?"
"Juice and cake." Steve responded reluctantly.
"Let's go get some juice boxes then. You're going to get your life back."
