"What?" I asked, very surprised.
"Our parents also died in a car accident eight months ago. One person died and three people were taken to the hospital." Soda explained.
"Those people that went to the hospital were my sister, my dad, and I. I was worse off. Stayed in the hospital for six weeks with broken bones, deep scratches, and huge bruises." I said quietly.
I didn't tell them I'd been in a coma for three weeks and my dad beats because mom died and I didn't. They didn't need to know everything.
I was close to tears at that point, but I wasn't going to cry in front of a bunch of boys.
"I should go home." I say suddenly. "I have to go get my sister soon."
"Do you just run away from your problems?" Dally questioned.
I turned around. "Yes." I say, then I run off toward home.
