4-Doctor

Ritsu's POV

I woke up to the door creaking open. The clock said 4 am. I glanced at the door and saw a doctor. I sighed, "Yeah doc?"

The doctor glanced at us, "Are you here for Kaya Kasanoda?" He kept his eyes on the three of us.

I nodded my head, "Yeah." Please don't tell me it's bad news.

He smiled, "Would you like to come with me?" He smiled. That should be good.

I woke up Tetsuya. Tamaki wouldn't wake up so I ended up giving him a piggyback ride following the doctor. The doctor stopped outside the door, "I am required to gain identification. Boy, what's your name?"

I nodded, "Ritsu Kasanoda, her big brother." The doctor opened the door and we slowly went in. I sat Tamaki in the chair across the foot of the bed.

The doctor started to move the curtains. I stood still, frozen again. Kaya was pale and lying completely still. The doctor looked at me, "She had a clogged artery in her heart. It must've had a long time to build up. It took a while to fix it and the damage it done. But it'll be a while for her to fully recover."

There was an oxygen mask on her face and 3 IVs in her left arm. One of them being blood. "AB" the bag was labeled. I stared at Kaya. A heart monitor was hooked up to her. The doctor continued, "Due to her size and heart it made the surgery last a long time." Then doctor bowed and walked out.

I sat on the foot of the bed and patted her leg, "I told you that you needed some treatment." I weakly smiled looking at Kaya. You made it.

Tetsuya sat in a chair beside the bed and held her right hand, "I'm so glad you're okay." I felt like crying, but as always I hold it in.

I held Kaya's other hand, "I'm glad you're here sis." I gently squeezed her hand. I looked at Tetsuya smiling, "She's here."

I woke up to my hair being ruffled. Huh? What the? Who is that? I slowly opened my eyes and looked over. I was laying beside Kaya on her right side. Her heart monitor beeping on the left bedside. Her IVs were still in her left arm, but it was stretched across her body ruffling my hair. She touched my forehead gently with her left hand.

She smiled, "Hey." Her voice barely sounded like a whisper. But that's natural for her.

I smiled up at her, "Kaya."

She giggled, "Shouldn't you be at school Ritsu?"

I shook my head no, "Nah. What time is it? Anyone in here?" I closed my eyes and put my head on her right shoulder.

She ruffled my hair, "It's noon, and no it's just us. Tetsuya left at like... 10? Well after I woke up to go back to take care of the syndicate."

I nodded my head, "Mm, okay." Then the syndicate is safe. I sighed, "Kaya I was scared."

She asked, "Why?"

I hugged her gently around her waist, "You almost died."

She laughed a little, "We run a syndicate." But then she sighed, "But I know. I'd be terrified too to lose you." She's right but...

I sighed, "Hey sis?"

She ruffled my hair, "Hmm?" I feel so weak, "Can I cry? Nobody else is here."

She started rubbing my back, "Mhmm. It's okay, cry as much as you want and need to." It's okay. It's always okay with Kaya. I can't be weak with the guys. I felt tears slowly run down my cheeks.

Kaya's POV

I watched Ritsu's sleeping face. He hasn't cried for a while. So he ended up crying himself to sleep. Why does he try to stay so strong? Is it for the syndicate? The guys? For me? I kept thinking as the door slowly opened.

A new doctor came in, "Hey Miss Kasanoda how are you feeling? And don't lie."

I shook my head, "Bad. Everyone is so worried about me. There are bandages wrapped around my chest. It could scar but that doesn't hurt. The only bad thing is... It's that I let others down."

The doctor nodded, "Miss Kasanoda I contacted your family doctor. He said this was a major step in treatment you needed." Treatment. That's all I hear.

I sighed, "Technically yes."

The doctor looked at his charts, "You almost died multiple times during the operation. You may wish to hurry with your treatment after you heal from this. Apparently, this was thirty percent of the overall needed treatment."

I nodded, "I'll take it into consideration." I hate being here. Why would I want to get any more treatment?

He bowed before walking out, "Thank you Miss Kasanoda."

I ruffled Ritsu's hair after he closed the door, "I'm sure you'd want me to get treatment. Right, Ritsu?" I felt a frown form on my face, "I hate being here right now, Ritsu. I hate hospitals." I sighed knowing Ritsu wouldn't respond to me.

I kept watching Ritsu as he slept. I need to protect him. He's so cute when he sleeps. I turned to the door as it opened. Tamaki rushed through, "My Darling Daughter!"

I held my fingers to my lips signaling him to be quiet. Then he seemed to notice Ritsu asleep. Then everyone else came in. Everyone but Haruhi stared at Ritsu and me seeming terrified.

The twins pointed to my IVs. Kaoru said, "So Kaya you and Bossa Nova..."

Hikaru picked up, "Are AB blood types..."

I looked at the club, "Yeah?" Why does it matter? The twins and Tamaki hid behind a chair. I frowned, "Um..."

Kyoya sighed, "Guys."

Tamaki spoke quietly, "Don't wake them up. They're bad when they wake up, like Kyoya and Honey."

Honey walked over to the three, "What's wrong when I wake up?" I gently shook my head due to these guys' crazy antics. I smiled at the three hiding in fear. Ritsu and I can't be too bad to wake up. Even though we hate being woken up.

Haruhi sat beside me and whispered, "Are you going to be okay?"

I nodded my head, "Mhmm. With what was said... Ah, never mind it. How was the club today?"

Haruhi smiled, "Nothing much, we didn't cosplay today."

I simply nodded my head in understanding, "Kyoya, what did I miss in class?"

And so it began, "Well, we went over...."
