Once Evan got inside he quickly locked the door and ran into his room, locking that door. He completely ignored the note that said that his mom would be there soon and ignored the money for dinner.

He shut his phone down and set it aside, then flopped on his bed face down and tried to take a deep breath. Shit, Jared was mad at him. Jared was mad at him because of him and Connor. Evan did understand that Connor was violent and he did have anger issues, but he wasn't just going to ignore him because he had issues. Evan had been ignored too much for his problems, and he didn't want Connor to be the same.
He picked his phone back up, ignoring Jared's curt and passive aggressive responses and went straight to Connor's icon.
Started conversation with Connor
Evan: hey Connor.
Connor: what's up hansen?
Evan: please if I ask a question be honest alright?
Connor: yeah.. what's on your mind
Evan: are you okay?
Connor: honest answer right
Evan: yes, please be honest
