Injured ~ Spenser x Reader

Normal Pov

Barlow was in charge of the Ranger classes at the Ranger school in Almia, and you were his partner, sine you were one of the available rank 7 or higher Rangers for this week.

You two took 10 rookies of the academy and walked them to the nearest forest, where you were supposed to patrol and look for Team Dim Sun recruits. Your boss at headquarters instructed you to tell the future Ranger scouts everything about the current problems and the important ones in the past.

Currently, you were walking through the School Road - which was actually a forest connecting the Ranger Academy and Vientown. Barlow was leading everyone and you were behind everyone, basically the backmarker, to make sure that you wouldn't lose any kids.

Barlow was giving a speech while walking, but you weren't exactly listening. You were just humming a tune and making sure there wasn't anything suspicious around.

All of a sudden, you heard a noise, probably a Pokémon crying for help. It wasn't that loud, that's probably why no one else heard it.

You tugged one of the students by his sleeve and told him to tell this to Barlow in case he asked where you were, and that they should go on without you; "Hey kid, if Barlow asks where i am, tell him 'Nature calls', okay?"

And with that said, the kid caught up with the others and you went in the direction you heard the cries come from, only to see a Tangela hanging down a tree. It probably got up somehow and got stuck in the branches.

You sighed and walked up to the tree, climbing it afterwards. You took Tangela's Vines out of the branches and when you least expected it, Tangela wrapped its vines around you and got off of the tree by itself.

At first you thought that was how it expressed gratitude, but that changed as soon as you saw other Tangelas and even Tangrowth come out of hiding in bushes. Next thing you knew was all of them gathering around you and the Tangela holding you.

You suddenly felt weak for some reason; Tangela was probably using Mega Drain or Giga Drain, because you soon found yourself fainting. While you were unconscious, the Tangela's carried you somewhere and dropped you from a 3 meter high cliff - nice Pokémon aren't they.

"Y/N is that you? Come on, wake up" you heard something, even if it wasn't clear at first. You felt like something or someone was shaking you, so you decided to slowly open your eyes.

You blushed the second you recognized the person who was shaking you; It was none other than Spenser, a rank 8 Ranger aka your longtime crush. You worked together with him until they assigned him to missions in the Fiore region.

That's what made you wonder; Why was he here in the first place?

"S-Spenser?" You stuttered and sat up, feeling a bit pain in your legs and ankle for whatever reason. You didn't remember why you were sleeping on the floor in the first place.

"What are you doing here?" he asked and kneeled down to you, taking away a leaf that was stuck in your hair, causing your face to get even redder.
