#74 - Not The Same
I
You were a stranger.
I treated you as danger
Then, you started with a "Hey."
I guessed, maybe it was okay.
II
We became partners on everything.
We have faced together anything.
Then a realization slowly but surely grew.
I was deeply in love with you.
III
Happiness was us
But I wanted to be 'us.'
I wanted to call you 'mine'
But I knew you would never be mine.
IV
Seconds turned to minutes.
Days turned to weeks.
Weeks turned to months.
Months turned to years.
V
One day, I did confess
But you've found another happiness.
I asked you, "Did you ever feel the same?"
You replied, "I did, but now it's not the same."
