#60 - Chess

I

I was named by the others as Pawn,

Ready to give my flesh and bone

Everything for His Majesty,

Everything with my loyalty.

II

I was called by the people as Rook,

Brave and courageous steps which I took

Always without doubt, without fear

Would come go straight, far or near.

III

I was known by the crowd as Knight

Prepared for battle, day and night

Unleashed my sword with my shield

Would come forth to the battlefield.

IV

I was titled by the many as Bishop,

Protector of sides, from bottom to top

I stood on both sides, dark and light

To live or to die, I would fight.

V

I was their Royal Queen,

Always beside my Beloved King

Would do anything, sacrifice if must

Would love him until the last.
